2004 Dodge Pickup Runs on 100% Water (I want one)
PESNetwork ^ | 2-25-2011 | Fredrick Wood

Posted on 02/25/2011 11:12:33 PM PST by Frantzie

Inventor Frederick W. Wood, and his associate, David Seigler, from Future Energy Concepts, Inc., give a video tour of the pickup truck that they claim to have converted to run on nothing but hydroxy gas, electrolyzed on-board, and on-demand, via a super-efficient electrolysis (from water) method they have developed. Their system allegedly produces 55 liters per minute on 55 amps. They also say the truck recently completed a road trip of more than 3000 miles, running on this set-up.

These guys crack me up. Their personality, excited about their development, is contagious and funny. I could see this video going viral just for those reasons.

FOLLOW-UP Chava Energy (http://www.chavaenergy.com ) was present on April 21 to validate the technology. However, it turned out that the claimed technology was not in a condition to be tested during the visit and the Inventor Fred Wells was not present either, only his business partner. Therefore, none of the claims could be validated and Chava Energy generously offered to conduct a test in the future once the system is running reliably.

Won’t do us any good in the upper midwest. It’s freezing five months out of the year.
Don't worry... it won't do any good to those living in warmer climates, either.

The closest you'll get is the Top Gear Toyota pickup that they managed to get to run on water

The entire concept of running your car on water is based on bad science

Fringe science and fraud
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxyhydrogen

Oxyhydrogen is often mentioned in conjunction with devices that claim to operate a vehicle using water as a fuel, or that burn the gas in torches for welding and cutting at extreme temperatures. Oxyhydrogen is sometimes referred as “Brown’s Gas” after Yull Brown who advocated such devices, or “HHO gas” after the claims of fringe physicist Ruggero Santilli.

The most common and decisive counter-argument against using the gas as a fuel is that the energy required to split water molecules exceeds the energy recouped by burning it, and these devices reduce, rather than improve fuel efficiency

In the pictures, glazed doughnuts and cokes ... don't all geniuses run on sugar and caffeine? Wonder how the Dunkin' Donuts franchise near MIT or Caltech does on weekends and around exam time? ... Ah, capitalism.

If this apparatus works as described, the oil industry is going to have to do an extra special job maligning it ... like ridiculing anyone who shows interest in building one. Polish and oil your ignore button. Build that sucker!

I’m still marveling at how the invention has been kept secret..

It has been all over the net for years, i even bought the plans several years ago, but never could figure them out, ok so i am twice a dummy.

Has even some of the people who says it won,t work even tried it?

I don,t know if it works or not because i was not smart enough to put it together, but i have even had the opportunity to buy one but so far have not took that option, so i will not say they don,t work either.

WOW, and it is on the Interwebs so it must be true!
Now excuse me while I go IM John Titor about his perpetual motion machine and answer some emails about this great money-making opportunity from a prince in Nigeria.

I decided to check out the guy who is behind this- Stan Meyers. He has been busted for fraud several times with scams such as this to try to con potential investors. This one sums it up pretty well both his bad science and his history of fraud.

http://www.aardvark.co.nz/stanley_meyer.shtml

His name comes up with a LOT of frauds around this. It seems he runs this scam every few years, gets some money from investors, then bails or is busted. Example, look up Xogen Power, Inc, another one of his scams.

If you want to try to build this, go for it. But looking over the instructions, especially the electrical wiring, I would just ask you please, please, set up a streaming web cam when you try to fire it up so we can have some laughs.

I guess it is an invention that many inventions have been bought out by the oil companies and that Stanley was offered a billion $ by middle east oil interests and he would not take it. And interesting too, how his murder has worked as an intimidation to not reproduce his invention in a large way. Yes, those were all inventions too. You are very naive about the ways of the darkside in this world...very naive.

Update:
I think their problem was the container wall was not strong enough. I am talking to a friend to see if we can reinforce it with a double layer PVC with carbon fiber. The guy at Ace Hardware gave me some tips and a place to get the carbon fiber done. The guy knows his plumbing and he said he worked at NASA years ago. He worked on the heat tiles on the shuttle.

To increase the HHO heat/gas - I am talking to my neighbor who was a middle school chemistry teacher about injecting low cost calcium carbide pellets to create acetylene gas. He thinks the idea is promising. We have to keep the pressure below 100 kPa.

“Where does it get the energy to do the electrolysis?”

Your battery and alternator. My friend thinks if we retrofit a stronger batter and alternator that we should be good to go.

You have a heater like all cars up north if left outside. You can also retrofit a glow plug at start up and during operation. It is also very simple.

They need to have a carbon reinforced vessel which I already am working on. This is very exciting.

Yet the Light Side is able to violate the laws of physics? Wow. Yes, I'm naive and didn't realize that.

Does it work only on those who’ve been convicted of fraud?

Well, one of the victims were a fraudster for sure. And it's more of a bioweapon than a poison, it can occur naturally but can be administered in food.
