The social networking Web site Facebook.com was launched in 2004 as a way for college students to connect with each other online. It is now open to people of all ages, and currently there are an estimated 500 million users. Each user has an individual page with photos and personal details that can be viewed by “friends.” To “friend” a person means opening the door to communication and information about who you are, where you go, and what you do. Facebook friendships may be casual or committed, but each one is “by invitation only.”

Just before Jesus was crucified, He told His disciples: “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you” (John 15:14-15).

Unselfishness, oneness of purpose, and confident trust are the hallmarks of true friendship, especially in our relationship with the Lord. Christ has taken the initiative by giving His life for us and inviting us to know and follow Him.

Have we responded to the Lord Jesus’ invitation of friendship by opening our hearts to Him with nothing held back?

Valentine's Day With Jesus

Jesus does not send perfume
To linger in the air.
Instead, He sends salvation, sweet,
To show how much He cares.

He doesn't bring me candy hearts
In boxes of delight.
Instead, He always lets me know
I'm precious in His sight.

He doesn't send out pretty cards,
Trimmed in shades of red.
Instead, He gave His life for me.
His precious blood was shed.

He doesn't hand out fancy gifts
Like we would send to mother.
Instead, He sends a message, clear,
To always love each other.

He doesn't give me teddy bears
That whimper, "Please, be mine."
Instead, He gave His heart to me.
I wear it all the time.

He doesn't give me roses, pink,
For all the world to see.

"Behavior Modification Reinforcers"

The HMO account manager noticed that nearly every bill from a certain pediatrician’s office included the line item “Behavior modification reinforcers.”

Alarmed that the pediatrician was engaging in some unapproved, experimental psychological treatment, she called the physician’s office to inquire, “What on earth are behavior modification reinforcers?”

When eagles are soaring ... they have the keenest eyesight and can spot prey far below, they dive like a rock and the prey is seized and carried away. effective hunters. Unfortunate for the prey.

No matter how far we are from God ... He sees our smallest move. We are never so far he can not reach us.

God is a miracle worker. Do not despair. God is there.

All things/circumstances can and do teach us lessons if we are willing to learn.

We are blessed ...
to be a blessing to all we meet.
