Hope all is well with everyone.
I do think that I am over last week’s cold.
Probably. How are you today? Are you ready for this blizzard? Has it already arrived and rolled past?
We’re ready! We have plenty of food, two gas fireplaces that give off a lot of heat in case we lose power, and I will fill the bathtub and pitchers with water, since we’re on well and septic.
Major snowfall will start mid afternoon. They’re still saying we’ll get a couple FEET, with “thundersnow” and layers of ice in between. Sounds ominous, doesn’t it?
Hope your cold is gone for good!
At least we’re into February, and I’ve been known to hear Red Wing Blackbirds and spot Robins by month’s end.

I pointed out to LionsDaughter yesterday that my first narcissus is swelling and about to bloom. Winter is retreating! We’ve won again!

Our paperwhites are beginning to open.
We woke to hellish winds this a.m. and it is rather cool.

lysie, does this casserole happen to have a recipe attached to it? It would be perfect for brunch at Book Club, along with a fruit (pineapple and assorted berries) cobbler hot out of the oven!

There is a tornado watch for areas south of us. I’m keeping a weather eye out.
It’s almost spring...the flowers are letting us know it won’t be long.

I'm living in a perpetual ground hog day. I'm only pinging you three, because it will not get wide distribution. Although, I will backup what I say with facts. Let me explain.
In 1979 I was located on the Turkish Iranian border. We were supposedly going into Iran to rescue the hostages. Needless to say it never happened.
Methinks we are witnessing the beginning of a muslim (lower case on purpose) caliphate. There are no cajones in the White House. Matter of fact, we have a president that would welcome this.
Methinks it's time to train, insure stores, commo, logistics, and prepare for what is about to happen.
Sorry that I am so pessimistic, but I have seen this before, first hand.

Still snowing here.......We’re up to around 17 inches.
Can’t believe we still have power. I’m very happy about that.
Wow! Only a few inches here...so far.
