Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab.

The actor "has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today," the actor's rep says in a statement Friday. "He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern."

News of Sheen, 45, seeking treatment comes one day after the actor was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital citing severe abdominal pain.

Sheen's highly successful sitcom, Two and a Half Men, is going on hiatus due to the star's decision to enter rehab, according to a statement from CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre.

"We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision," they say in the statement.

Last time Charlie got in troubling he hired an alcohol prevention bodyguard of sorts that was to be with him and make sure he didn’t get out of hand. Guess that didn’t last too long.

Loves prostitutes, hookers, porn stars.

Charlie will get AIDS soon if he hasn’t already.

If he doesn’t die from a drug overdose, alcoholism destroying his liver or AIDS, I will be very surprised.

Maybe he will meet Lilo there.

Antabuse is probably what you’re thinking of:

Since when do you go into rehab for a hiatal hernia?

When it's not a hiatal hernia but rather acute pancreatitis brought on by heavy drinking that sent Sheen to the hospital with abdominal pains. That's my guess.

The parentheses are mine:
Charlie Sheen: Hiatal hernia pain sent him to the hospital (LIE!)
January 27, 2011 | 5:51 pm

Charlie Sheen hospitalized abdominal pain Charlie Sheen, (on one of his frequent trips to the ER) was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday morning with abdominal pain, (ie acute pancreatitis) is spending yet (another blissful night) in yet another hospital,( most likely at taxpayers expense).

No “adverse allergic reaction”, this time,, (just regular old alcohol poisoning )— sources told TMZ the ( heavily inebriated) “Two and a Half Men” star was treated for intense abdominal pain stemming from a hiatal hernia, (otherwise due to a massive ingestion of tequila, champagne and anything else he could get his hands on).

To mitigate symptoms, doctors recommend that people such as Sheen (and his pal,Lindsay Lohan), who are aware they have a hiatal hernia, take care to avoid alcohol. (uh huh, when pigs fly.)

Coincidentally, Sheen’s (45th) trip to the ER, first reported by TMZ, came after a night of heavy partying, (sexual orgies and other raucous behavior) at the actor’s house, neighbors reported, (after calling the police for the 45th time also).. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a 911 call, at Sheen’s gated community shortly after 6:30 a.m. Two women reportedly left the house, (ie ran like hell) as paramedics took, (carted) Sheen away,

(Oh, and when he leaves the hospital, he will have to buy a new car cuz for the SECOND time this year, SOMEONE stole his Mercedes and drove it off a cliff.) :-) :-) :-).

The sad part is that his ex wife, Denise Richards, was quoted recently as saying that she “supports and loves him”. Her enabling and refusal to allow him to have real consequences will contribute to his demise(add in Daddy the producers of his show). Only when a jerk like him loses EVERYTHING will there be even a glimmer of hope.

What did Mark Steyn say today? I can’t wait to replay it tonight.

And Antibuse is not a cure. It’s just a temp. fix. He is an addict and needs to be detoxed, kept in treatment for about a year(not kidding) and look at the root cause of his disease while there, ie work the 12 steps. Even then, he’s probably “constitutionally incapable” as cited in the Big Book of AA.

Sheen needs to get that medication and have it “Norplant”-ed in his arm, or something. I won’t say “he’s a great guy when he’s not on the sauce,” as he seems to have Clintonian issues TOO, but I hope he doesn’t drink himself (and perhaps others, as in a car wreck) to death.

I have absolutely no sympathy ar all for Charlie.

Not much of an actor, certainly not much of a human being.

“Antabuse——been around for years.”

A lot of the drunks in AA used to regale us with Antabuse stories. My sponsors told me not to go near the stuff, that most people drank on it, got very sick, and some died.

Working on twenty two years off the booze now.

Like Gordon said, when you’re good you get perks. Lots and lots of perks. And when you’re bad...you get even better perks.

>>>>He might not be too successful in his “on the wagon” efforts as his character on the show is a heavy drinker. Good luck Charlie.

Perhaps they’ll write it into the show and have art imitate life... his behavior has kind of been a 2-way street with art & life imitating each other. So it seems.

How does this effect any of you? Can’t we just say we hope he gets better? Isn’t that the Christian thing to do? I hope none of you ever have to face severe addiction issues. Nice to see how compassionate you all are.

Actually if it’s alcohol induced pancreatitis he BETTER stop. The pancreas can only be pushed so far and doesn’t “regenerate” like the liver. Then again, you push your liver too far and it can no longer fix itself.
