Was Abercrombie’s “Quest” for Obama’s Long-Form Birth Certificate Staged?
The Post & Email ^ | January 22, 2011 | G-Starz

(Jan. 22, 2011) — Yesterday an article was published in the Honolulu Star Advertiser entitled “Abercrombie Drops Quest for Obama’s Birth Certificate” written by an unnamed Associated Press writer. Here are my comments:

In an incredibly lame and cowardly anticlimactic announcement, hiding behind his spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie’s spokeswoman, in plain political defense, in the Hawaiian Sun Advertiser, said this:

There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document. Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.

The Star Advertiser continues:

Abercrombie, who was a friend of Obama’s parents and knew him as a child, launched an effort last month to find a way to dispel conspiracy theories that the president was born elsewhere. The governor said at the time he was bothered by people who questioned Obama’s birthplace for political reasons.

But Abercrombie’s investigation reached a dead end when Louie told him the law restricted his options.

Here are several important points that need to be noted that only make the situation all the more suspicious to any reasonable person, Dela Cruz’s Hillary Clinton-esque “right-wing conspiracy defense” notwithstanding:

1 - Bad political news is always dropped late Friday at the end of the news cycle in the hope that it will disappear from general view. The timing almost conclusively suggests that they do not see this as a win for themselves.

2 - Rush Limbaugh has officially, albeit belatedly, entered the debate full-throttle with the opening of his show this same day, highlighting the absurdity of the Abercrombie quest investigation. This must have been pretty alarming to the Obama camp, as Limbaugh’s embracing of the issue is likely to make it safe for many others outside of Limbaugh’s 20,000,000-person listenership to do the same.

"Abercrombie...launched an effort last month to find a way to dispel conspiracy theories that the president was born elsewhere"...but the investigation "reached a dead end when Louie told him the law restricted his options."

So then, we are supposed to believe that the governor was allowed to pursue this "investigation" for weeks on end without being told sooner that it was legally prohibited and therefore futile??? Who would believe this ridiculous scenario?

Citizens who demand a constitutional government are now conspirators?

My guess is that the Hawaii governor truly believed Obama’s story before he started his “quest”... and now like so many others, he is a true “birther” who realizes he better shut his fat mouth about it if he knows whats good for him.

Abercommie came out a couple of weeks ago all cocky and confident he was going to set the “birthers” straight.

Now he’s cowering behind his spokeswoman. Won’t even make a statement himself.

This wasn’t staged. If it was it went off the rails.

Whatever was found in that Hawaiian vault (Where is Geraldo when you need him?) it must act like some kind of modern day Gorgon, filling the hearts and minds of those who view it with terror and turning their tongues to stone.

It could be what I’ve been suggesting: A shakedown by pothead Neil. Once he got cash from Obama, he starts in with some other nonsense about the birth certificate that negates what he was saying earlier. He doesn’t care if it makes him look foolish, he got cash from Obama. The same M.O. as Fukino, and possibly even that newspaper in Africa that Michelle Obama called in a drunken episode and got recorded saying Obama was born in Kenya.

Probably, I think they just want to keep the birth certificate thingy going to make Conservatives look like nuts.

I still think if there was anything to it, Hillary would have pounced on it before he even entered the primaries

"Abercrombie, who was a friend of Obama’s parents and knew him as a child,"

This doesn't pass the smell test either. When did Abercrombie know Obama "as a child". His mother took him to Washington state 3 weeks after the birth. His lived in Indonesia for several years. His mother sent him to live with his grandparents in Hawaii. Is that when Abercrombie knew him? Has Abercrombie ever mentioned the grandparents?

I don’t get it. If Abercommie staged the whole thing in advance, where’s the benefit for 0h0m0?

“Rush Limbaugh was reacting to Abercrombie’s stupidity—not throwing himself in with the birthers.” ~ Recovering_Democrat

Not true. Rush suspects that there’s more to it than “stupidity”:

“A shakedown by pothead Neil. Once he got cash from Obama,”

To me the only thing wrong with that argument is that Obama can’t wait to toss money to his cronies. He loves corruption and redistribution of wealth. He must have slush funds galore, overflowing.

Why would AberCommie have to twist his arm when Hawaii and all their officials have ALREADY been covering for Obama for three years. I’m sure Hawaii has been receiving graft in the form of government largess for quite awhile now.

“Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie’s spokeswoman...said this: Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.”

Ms. Dela Cruz, a public official, is recklessly engaging in accusatory speech. Being inquisitive does not make one a conspirator.

Note to my Congressman sent yesterday:
Re State of the Union:

Congressman:

I know you don’t like to make waves, but is there any chance you could raise a Point of Order at the State of the Union on Tuesday, and ask the Speaker whether the man delivering the speech is eligible under the Constitution to be there. We know (?) that his father wasn’t a citizen, so he really is disqualified you must know. But is this f&*@%r even a citizen? Does he have the paperwork to even get a Driver’s License in NJ?

Couldn’t you ask the Speaker to have the man show at least that he was born in the United States? Or is this too much to ask?
