Thanks, NN. Nobody's seen me at FR in years.
Happy Valentine's Day.

Where keeps changing. Singers quit and thru my social network of singers, if there's an opening for a soprano, I ck it out. I spent hours rehearsing since November cuz I was in 5 different things w/all different songs. Gosh, with same and different other singers and conductors. April next big one: That's 15 - 20 songs to go cuz I miss my own favorites. Jazz and country best for my voice.
That pic was from an ensemble jazz concert in February, 2011, Clearwater. We did some great tunes.

I liked that one because I thought it generic, gender wise.
I found this one, too. and couldn't help but laugh. Where else could one post such a snarky valentine?

You know, my grandma went to church every Sunday but she did like a little harmless gossip such as on the top of the Peggy-Viola valentine.

I don’t know Lou Columbo but one of my friends might know him. Sometimes we only know people by only their first name and I forget names easily. Lots of music and people on I-4 corridor.

I was in a concert for Christmas Eve w/this conductor. This isn’t my kind of music but they are all experienced musicians. Here are some audio files w/some of my friends on it. It’s not AI type music.

I sing tricky arrangements of standards & jazz, sing blues and sing country. I like when AI does Swing/Standards week. Barbra Streisand was off key part of her Grammy performance. Even BS should practice.

Where’s everybody else tonight?
I’m not sure of the difference between jazz and blues, just know that I’m not a fan of jazz, but I like blues. ??

I don't know if there was an actual ping until Wednesday. Blues is slower, naughtier and sadder. Jazz is fast and the lyrics are clever. The jazz I like is old school. I'm not into jazz where instruments just playing notes like crazy.
You know, like Frank and Dean and Bing, Doris Day, etc. did jazz. That's my kinda jazz.

Thanks, Julie. Being an independent seems to agree w/me although I do vote for republicans, never for dems. I sing vs. watching too much news.

Thanks for clearing up jazz a bit.
