Good evening!
The news & commentary continue to track yesterday's murders in Arizona. For some of the participants, it's not their finest hour, it's safe to say.
Meanwhile a strong, winter weather system moves across the Southern U.S. bringing snow and ice to places and people unaccustomed to such things.
Hope our ATRWers are safe and can keep their power. Folks are urged to stay home and not venture out.
Outrageous.
Well, we went to UA early and had dinner nearby and we never saw any security of any kind on our end of the campus except for a helicopter continuallly circling overhead over the stadium area. The hall he spoke in is directly across from the football stadium. We were able to find parking so I was happy. “Wicked” was a cute play with lovely music and the the Wicked Witch of thw West and Glinda had beautiful voices. By the time we left we were close enough to I-10 to avoid any traffic. I did see AF1 parked at Davis-Monthan AFbase as we rode by on I-10. We live about 5 miles from the east gate and the traffic was stopped on S. Kolb. Rd. Must know, the lady beside me at the play said Grant Rd. was his route and the secret service were in force along there. Her 16-year old daughter works in the nail salon next to the Safeway where it happened and saw and heard it all. She said that is the store she shops in. So, I was able to avoid “the one” but my husband said my friend saw AF1 fly over our neighborhood dog run right before he went down there to take our yorkie to play. People on the radio station locally this morning were mixed reviews, but I only listened to a few minutes.
I am so disgusted with the leftist media, I have avoided ALL news today. Not Fox, not Rush, I just don’t want to hear any voices. I might throw something.
I have to say: now I'm riled up about the treatment Boehner's getting for not going to AZ...and remember this is after the "new tone" was to begin...I guess he's taking the heat off Palin....there you go...Now I can be grateful for that /sarc...
And did you hear that the repeal health care bill is not back on the House's schedule??? If this is true...nothing like rewarding the Dems for their outrageous behavior...thugs, thugs, thugs

The judge was a republican.
I just rode up to Babies’r Us to get a shower present and we rode by the Safeway. It is still yellow taped but I guess the press was at the little girl’s funeral. I heard on the radio the Bishop speaking at at. We have a huge Diosese of Tucson cemetary so one of the two may have been buried there. I guess the press is at the hospital downtown waiting for another “miraculous” done by ‘the one’ last night.
Not only that, but it was a lie. It was a FALSE LIE!!!!
I know. When I heard about it I recalled hearing Sunday she had opened her eyes. It is like Clinton walking on Utah Beach in Normandy and there just happened to be this little pile of rocks so he could make a cross. I just posted elsewhere I think the memorial was held up by the t-shirt order being delivered. It is terrible to say, but it is a “wag the corpse” moment to deflect from his agenda and the dems in the minority now.
The news is so upsetting, I could use a Newhart or Carol Burnett marathon right about now.
What is it with the RATS and funerals? Did they never learn to focus on the lives of the deceased and not to turn them into pep rallys? Memorials are NOT a time to look forward but to look at the lives and remember. Well, not strictly true for a Christian, we should look to God’s work, but specifically His work through the person who we are remembering. At any rate, TEE SHIRTS???? SLOGANS????
I have given instructions to my family that if I’m killed by a terrorist to tell the government to BUTT OUT. If they want to do anything, my family should make it clear that it doesn’t involve ME!
I’m still avoiding news. I skipped everything today. I can’t handle it. And yet, it still comes seeping through.
I just remembered my brother-in-law was asked about a living will when he went to the doctor recently and he said when they start disconnecting everything that's keeping him alive to disconnect the feeding tube last. He does like to eat. Got to run.
