I am just about to delete my FaceBook account. I am getting sick of the alarmingly large fraction of my 'friends' who are mindlessly linking this AZ shooting to the Congresswoman's opposition campaign in the last election, which is being characterized as a 'hate' campaign.

Except...

- the 'kid' was a 22-year old who whas rejected by the Army when he tried to enlist (so NOT an 'Afghan War Vet')

- who was a Lefty from way back as far as high school (as attested to by former classmates on Twitter just yesterday, so NOT a Right Winger)

- who had been arrested twice, once at least for drugs (so NOT 'just a kid who was playing X-Box and then decided to go shoot somebody)

- whose favorite books are The Communist Manifesto and Mein Kampf and was an admirer of Hitler (so NOT 'clinging to God and guns' -- and did anybody mention that the Congresswoman was Jewish?)

- who made incomprehensible YouTube videos about Gov't. mind control and references to Gitmo (so NOT a stable mind at all)

The AP article published on Yahoo! is but one fever swamp source for all of this for these deep thinkers. I think the worst implication of these dipwads is that the opposition campaign was inciteful in its own right because the guy was -- gasp! -- a former Marine! Because former Marines just like to shoot up a supermarket for fun, right?

It's either call these 'friends' on this despicable smear, or just cut contact with them. Easier to do the latter...;-))

A loon is a loon is a loon.

Clearly this “Kid” had/has psychological issues that none of us are qualified to delve into.

I don’t think it matters one iota what the political climate of the days is or was, he was going to snap sooner or later.

It is much like gun control, DWI laws, domestic abuse preventive programs and terrorists.

If someone is determined to follow through on whatever their character/moral/et al deficiency might be, they will find a way to do it and use any “blame vehicle” to latch on to it for or rather to blame it on.

However, the political climate today allows people who lack HONEST JUDGEMENT and or rational thinking(much like the Sheriff we heard yesterday who is clearly too emotionally connected to the victims to really be considered a reasonable “spokesperson” to thrust blame on whatever their “pet issue” or bone of contention might be.

I just ignore people who cannot make intellectually honest comments on what happened yesterday.

It is easier to do the latter but we must do the former. It is “engaging the enemy.” We can’t let them get by with their smears, even if they’re just repeating the lame stream. We have to say something like, “you know, that Yahoo article has almost 100% of their facts wrong.” And then we start pointing out the errors. Force your acquaintances to cut the connection, not you. Be aggressive!

Yes....I'm about to de-couple from Facebook also.

It seemed a good idea once, but...too many issues, 1 large one is security, and keeping up with that alone.

Hi K.! thanks for the Tucson news. I hope to return there some day.

Personally, I’d try to be the voice of reason in the hope that at least one of them might have a brain cell click. But that’s me.

I have since decided tHAT I’m going to call them something horrible if any one I know does that. Because I vote for that party and I listen to those talk radio show....so they’ll get it both barrels if they pull that c***

Besides...aren’t the bombers and terrorists working for Zero ?? The left encourages that sort of thing.
