With the repeal of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” looking imminent, the next question on America’s mind is what a military with openly gay soldiers will look like. Most experts, including Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Admiral Mike Mullen, believe that a repeal of the discriminatory law won’t at all endanger the military’s stability. And a large majority of enlisted troops agree with them. But what if a military that welcomes gays and lesbians with open arms doesn’t just not fall part, but actually shows remarkable improvement?
For decades now, scientists seeking to understand why people are gay have done neurological research on homosexual versus heterosexual brain patterns. Though these experiments might initially sound like phrenology, pseudoscientific hooey that attempted to predict mental ability based on the size and shape of the skull, in fact, they have been academic and replicable. And while there’s still no consensus as to what makes someone gay, the differences between gay and straight brains that these studies have uncovered are not insignificant.
Take the 2008 work of a team of Swedish scientists in Stockholm. Using magnetic resonance imaging and 90 male and female volunteers, the group discovered that gay men’s brains are strikingly similar to those of straight women, which might explain homosexual men’s proficiency at languages:
Using brain-scanning equipment, researchers said they discovered similarities in the brain circuits that deal with language, perhaps explaining why homosexual men tend to outperform straight men on verbal skills tests -- as do heterosexual women.

Certainly they might make better soldiers, but only if the requirement is for “rump rangers.”

HOW GAY! this article was written by someone who probably believes the whole world would be gay if we weren’t so homophobic and bigoted.That some Sodomite soldiers did manage to get recognized —IMO it was to prove a point-to advance the cause. F they are allowed serve openly now- then that cause is diminished.And any valor in Battle does not seem related to the immorality/nor corrupted character but something born of those distinct from any other character trait.

No. They are by nature dysfunctional people. Further most gay men and lesbians hate heterosexual males due to bad relationships with male role models in their lives, they will have no problem gunning down Christian heterosexual men. They generally disdain ‘breeders’ and many lesbians hate the hetero women who like the nuclear family and do well in it. They will have no problem taking orders against their own countrymen because they generally don’t like the nuclear family concept and will not have empathy for families, or for how parents feel about their kids, or how a man feels for his wife, or a wife for her husband.
So no, they will be far worse.

Being in former unit command at the squadron level in the US Air Force, I was involved the Court-Martial and discharge of several homosexuals. They disrupted unit cohesion. Several were in supervisory roles and were harassing their subordinates. In all cases, their victims were young airmen and it took a few who had the courage to ID the perp. And before you get on your self-righteous high horse, I also was involved in the Court-Martial of officers who were found guilty of adultery, which was punishable under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice.
Not everyone who serves is a patriot. Some are there to push a social agenda. Some are there to play politics and use the army as a prop for their own grand plans, it’s not for patriotism that they’re there. I would not call Al Gore or John Kerry a patriot. The uniform meant nothing to them except a resume entry and something that could be used in their political campaigning.

Homos will stalk and sexually harass their fellow soldiers, they will use any positions of authority they have to further this.

You want your kids groped and harrassed by homos, and have zero legal recourse due to government ordered protection of homos?
