Thanks, Meg. I was searching for a picture to post for the Jerusalem Garden of Prayer (we are on Zephaniah now), and there it was - so I snagged it! Who'da thunk I would find that graphic under "Zephaniah"?

A FRiend emailed to me last night, that when she is searching for a graphic under a totally innocent subject - every once in awhile - a porn graphic shows up!

I think that should be monitored more closely by the staff at Google. (What if it was a child, looking for a graphic for Geography, and up pops a naughty graphic?)

Who Should We Pray For?

by Billy Graham

Jesus teaches us for whom we are to intercede. How startling His instructions and His example! He tells us to "pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). We are to plead for our enemies, asking God to lead them to Christ and for His sake to forgive them.

In the first words that Jesus uttered from the cross after the heavy nails had been hammered through His hands and feet, He interceded for His crucifiers, saying, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do" (Luke 23:34). How many of us have ever spent time praying for our enemies?

We are also told in Scripture to pray for the conversion of sinners. I once listened to a discussion of religious leaders on how to communicate the Gospel. Not once did I hear them mention prayer. And yet I know of scores of churches that win many converts each year by prayer alone. If there is a person of our acquaintance who needs Christ in his or her life, then we need to start praying for them. We will be amazed at how God will begin to work.

Prayer

Lord, we are thankful for Jesus' example in prayer. Help us to intercede for the people around us, believing that You will work in their lives.
We pray in Jesus' name.
Amen.

Hi pam. I was looking through JimRob’s comments to see what was said about the down time yesterday and I came across his comment about his sister ‘being home again and on heavy medication now’.

From reading that, and all the comments and prayers being sent, it didn’t sound good.

Read the Holy Bible daily ... your future depends on it.

A number of years ago I wrote this quote in the front of my Bible. I failed to write who provided the quote...

This book will keep me from sin,

Sin will keep me from this book

Old Joe Clark

Old Joe Clark, he had a house
Eighteen stories high
Ev'ry story in that house
Was filled with chicken pie

Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
Fare ye well, I say
Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
I'm a-goin' away

Photobucket

I went down to Old Joe's house
Stayed to have some supper
Stubbed my toe on the table leg
And stuck my nose in the butter

Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
Fare ye well, I say
Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
I'm a-goin' away

Raccoon has a bushy tail
'Possum's tail is bare
Rabbit has no tail at all
'Cept a bunch of hair

Photobucket

Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
Fare ye well, I say
Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
I'm a-goin' away

Old Joe Clark had a mule
His name was Morgan Brown
And every tooth in that mule's head
Was sixteen inches around

Photobucket

Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
Fare ye well, I say
Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
I'm a-goin' away

Old Joe Clark had a yellow cat
She would neither sing or pray
She stuck her head in the buttermilk jar
And washed her sins away

Photobucket

Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
Fare ye well, I say
Fare ye well, Old Joe Clark
I'm a-goin' away
