The Christmas season, so far, has been a blur for my family....starting way before Thanksgiving.
My dad has gone from assisted living home...to hospital....to the home again....to rehab...and now to nursing home....
...we've been consumed with hospital visits....moving him from place to place....paperwork....PLUS...
..Christmas shopping....errands for dad...etc etc...
And then we both got sick.....sinus and bronchial infections....(thank-you God for antibiotics!)
..HOWEVER...God has been so very faithful each and every day....His Providence and mercies new every morning.
Even in our busy-ness....my husband and I stop to marvel at God's provision and care!
Dad is failing in body and mind....
...but we are here to help him with this journey.....he is the 'child' now who needs looking after...fed...tucked into bed.
...a long time ago he did that for me.
God is good.
Hope prevails every day.

I have a picture of a November sunset from my back deck , shooting through my trees that looks exactly like that. My mom called me to tell me to look at the sunset. I went out back to look and took a picture as we both enjoyed it together over the phone. It was the last sunset we shared together.
What a special memory. I’m glad you have the picture to take out and remember special times together with your mom.

Fun breakfast today. One Christmas I decided to make special pancakes, so I colored half the batter red and half the batter green. I decorated in other ways, too, but it was the food coloring which put everyone off. That was one meal which didn’t go well at all. LOL!
God is good and He is totally sovereign (a redundancy for emphasis) in what we are experiencing. Praise the Lord!
One Thanksgiving Greg's brother thought the gravy was too light colored. He added green food coloring. Not appetizing one bit.
