I have a picture of a November sunset from my back deck , shooting through my trees that looks exactly like that. My mom called me to tell me to look at the sunset. I went out back to look and took a picture as we both enjoyed it together over the phone. It was the last sunset we shared together.

See, THAT’S why I love late autumn; there’s a special, stark, simple beauty in that scene that you only get for a few weeks each year, wedged in between multi-colored October and pure white December. Some peple find that time very depressing; I think it has a beauty all its own.
