What Goes Through Their Minds

I watch, wondering if the enemy comes like doom
I wait, and wondering why I’m here, and for whom
The news I get from home is bad, do they care
from the news, it’s clear what our leaders think fair

They wait, and we die, they speak and we die
we struggle as did those in another war’s lies
Those who should lead don’t and we pay the price
and our families suffer for the acts of these lice

Worse, we wonder if our country will be there
if we get back will it still be America the Fair
I fear it will be something less then before
a lot of us do and that angers us even more

Will those there stand up to the evil to hand
or are we the last few of an honorable band
I watch, wondering if the enemy comes like doom
I wait, and wondering why I’m here, and for whom

That was so sweet of Marissa making him a card. What a sweet girl she is, Amy! That shows you’ve done something really right!

I take anything to do with surgery serious. I feel sorry for him going without coffee and food so long. By the time you all get back, he will love the pizza (if he can eat it then)and the birthday cake! Her cake sounds so cute!!

I have a busy day tomorrow, too. I hate that because Billie will be here. I may be able to post a time or two but I’m going to get color on my hair tomorrow (surprise, surprise) and then my guys will be here tomorrow afternoon/evening to help me put the tree up and decorate. So its going to be mighty busy. And we plan to get pizza too!

Our Soldiers

Soldier standing to the weight of duty's call,
you do the duty, and do it proud and oh so well!
Burning sand gets into anything and all,
and yet you stand and do the job in that Hell.

You cleaned the bad from its dark spider hole,
and rebuild schools so others tell the truth again.
Helping others to be again free and finally whole,
making a better world amid the fundamentally insane.

You are what heroes are, and always will be,
and so I stand in honor of you, American heroes all.
Doing that which you are called to do, and we see,
so let us remember them with pride, serving duty’s call.

They CLAIM that all blue eyed people have a common ancestor so....you can claim Ol' Blue Eyes and Paul Newman as a relative!

But, you would also have to claim all the weirdos like Alec Baldwin, Anderson Cooper, and Al Gore as well! LOL
