Did Rush just say that?

Just heard Rush say, "Obama could say. 'The BUCK stops here.'". concerning TSA pat downs. I wonder if he will catch flak for it?

A buck is a male deer. It is also the nickname for the dollar. "The 'buck' stops here" declares that someone must eventually take the responsibility when others are "passing the buck".
Everything is not about race...in fact - in reality - very little is except for the racemongers who are looking for it.

I predict, because of this thread, the msm will be screaming racism tonight.

Maybe youre too young to remember, but at one time black males were referred as bucks. You sure about that??

It's a sad day when FR people start making an old saying by Harry Truman into a race thing. This thread should have the “abuse” button pushed on it. Not for bad language but for a waste of space. Trying to make nothing into a controversial subject.

I’m sure if Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson had their minions listening, they will condemn it as a racist statement. But then again, who cares anymore what they say...
To: Mr. K
yeah. remember all the “rights” that Bush took away from us, according to the DUmmies?

Maybe youre too young to remember, but at one time black males were referred as bucks. I never heard that term before (I'm 43), and I also had never heard the term "teabagger" until that fairy Anderson Cooper poisoned my mind with it. I guess I need to get out more.
Why not let words just mean what they mean!?

I don’t think the left even needs any “evidence,” no matter how flimsy, to call Republicans racist. I just assume that they will say that I am one.

Yes , “buck” can mean in English/American terms a sporty fellow. However, in cotton plantation days a “buck” was a slave that could pick a lot of cotton and perform other physical tasks around the estate. He was also expected to produce a lot of similarly endowed male offspring. Buck can also mean in prison terms a prisoner with high prestige or status or in a chain gang one who could bust a lot of rock.
