Just back from my second run to the grocery ( different one) and we’ll be going out again. Cars are backing up on Rt 50 going east and west! Ed works late tonight, so
I’ll be setting up myself for Friday. I do it a day or so early so I can rest while cooking. We go to in-laws tomorrow after I cook a bird to take with us complete with stuffing and gravy.

Sweet. I got tomorrow off, that’s it. Working Friday and Saturday.

Wow, used to be that way for me too. then I got
Thursday and Friday off, then early Wednesday, Thurs. and Fri off. Now, when he kids are off, the parents don’t want them to come to tutoring, so I’m off when school is out.

I just went grocery shopping. You have my sympathies.

I must have gone to the store at just the right time: it wasn't bad at all, but they had all cashiers on deck, and that was very good!

It wasn't bad for me either, just crowded. I was able to get a turkey for 59¢ @lb., and I had $16 off in coupons and $13 off w/ the store card. All in all, I spent $50.

Good for you! I also used coupons, but didn’t do as well as you did. I got the turkey for 46 cents a lb.

I didn’t look at that other thread. But, someone else sent me the link via email. When I clicked on it, I discovered the thread had been pulled. All I can say is that I didn’t hit the abuse button. I try to avoid hateful confrontations. I got the impression that the posters had their own agendas and their minds were already made up. I have a policy to let them continue with their thoughts.
