'Tis Thanksgiving Week!
And given that, we'll be hearing lots more stories about the new TSA passenger searches and screenings.
Renewed bailout and financial worries grip Europe,
and back home 0 seems determined to get the START treaty thru the lameduck session of Congress.
Yeah, y’all have some really bad critters. OTOH, I love the non-judgemental attitudes of the people I’ve met from Oz. In fact, I’ve only disliked one of them (and I really dislike her!). There’s no hurry on the time table. I’m in the states at the moment and don’t quite know when I’ll get home.
Smart boy. He listens.
We did too, a big fire of limbs, small brush, a log, some boxes, under the “trash”, roasted marshmellows with wine, it was great. Happy Birthday, Corelifter.
You’re in the Seattle/Tacoma area?
yep ... on the Hood Canal, west side between Shelton and PT.
Good morning.
Add more blue, and the sunrise will do nicely on Friday.
;o)
Glad youngest arrived safely!
STILL smiling about the duck, duck, goose parade!
Good morning.
Good morning! She did arrive well. Then she and the BF are heading to New Mexico to spend the holiday at his parent’s house. She took some shakers and had already told them that on Friday everyone is watching The Game and cheering for AUBURN!
This game, more than any other, is never a “gimme.” Things can happen and the momentum changes. I was there in 1972. We were getting smeared all over the field for four quarters. The score was 16 - 0 with ten minutes only left in the game. We scored a field goal, 16 -3. It was a token score. On Bama’s next position we held Bama and they were punting on a fourth down. Bill Newton blocked that punt and David Lagner recovered and ran it 25 yards for a TD. The score was 16 - 10. Then, on the next Bama possession, the SAME THING HAPPENED! What are the odds of being able to do that?
I cannot communicate the emotions wrapped up in the game Friday. It is something that is part of a heritage. I did decorate my kids’ nurseries in burnt orange and navy blue and I taught them three phrases first, “Praise the Lord”, then “War Eagle!”, followed by “Beat Bama.” Many Auburn alumni do the same and I’ve heard rumors the opposition brainwashes their offspring, too.
To say that we hear about this game all year is not an exaggeration. And while the game is referenced, it is just one of many competitions between the two. There are Auburn-Bama food drives, Auburn-Bama golf tournaments. During the Viet Nam war and beyond there were even Auburn-Bama Blood Drives (we always donated more, btw). It is important to us.
Good morning.
Good morning!
Open meeting this morning. No speaker. All topics are fair game. My favorite type of meeting.
Fun! A free-for-all.
Thanksgiving...my second favorite holiday after Easter, is almost here us!
DHS and TSA taking names of critics
Sounds like we're sending an aircraft carrier into the Yellow Sea in response to NK's attack...
It is one of my favorite as well. It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to His Name.
Good morning! Can you spell C O L D ?
And it's time to do a little decorating:
