WoW! That is Verrrrry Niiiice!! Not overblown (which I tend to be ;-)) but understated with dignity. You let the words speak for themselves.
I would add only one quote:
When charming leftists stick their nose into things they don't understand they become ratchet-jawed purveyors of monkey-doodle and baked wind. They are piddlers upon merit, beggars at the door of accomplishment, thieves of livelihood, envy coddling tax lice applauding themselves for giving away other people's money. They are the lap dogs of the poly sci-class, returning to the vomit of collectivism. They are pig herders tending that sow-who-eats-her-young, the welfare state. They are muck-dwelling bottom-feeders growing fat on the worries and disappointments of the electorate. They are the ditch carp of democracy."
P.J. O'Rourke, 2009
BTW, did you ever listen to that Alan Parsons Project song 'The Raven' I found a while back?
;-))

I think Rick Scott will get Governor....(Phyllis Schlafly has endorsed him, and that's important to me)
..and Marco Rubio for Senate....he's looking strong.
Meek is ridiculous and I'll be so glad to see the last of Crist, the Crooked, waffling, flip-flopper!

I just gave blood. It was a new experience for me, in spite of my advanced years! No fainting spells yet.

And why must the rest of us be dragged through these stages?

Good for you. It is a life-saving gift, you know. Be sure to drink plenty of water and few extra calories today won’t go amiss. BTW, it takes six weeks for your RBCs to be built back up.
In this country, they won’t take my blood. Too much malaria. But in Papua, they hesitated to take mine, not because of malaria but because I have a low blood pressure.

Speaking of History, MK...;-))
Has anyone been watching the Military Channel's 'Paris 1919: Six Months That Shook The World'?
It is fascinating to watch Woodrow Wilson go from obscure academic to King of the World, with literally the entire world either feigning outright fealty to him or angling to cut their best deal with him for redrawn borders, reparations, and, especially, possession of colonies.
I have to wonder if Nobama sees this in his narcississtic, ego-addled, neo-Marxist mind as his true trajectory for his presidency. If so, then we can expect him to make the UN his new forum, and his redistributionism expanded to include the entire world (already begun, actually).
The thing about Wilson was that he believed his own hype about his ability to solve the world's problems down to the tiniest detail of the most far-flung territory while at the same time asking the rest of the world to believe in his blustery New Way of getting along, which had never before been tried. And, he didn't figure on human nature, which conspired to say anything to get what they wanted short-term, while undermining Wilson's 'best of plans' by secretly arming themselves to the teeth to set up the next Great War.
In this Nobama parallels Wilson exactly, because he is asking the American people (and by extension, the world) to accept his 'ideas' that have never been tried and which only work inside his own fantasy world. Nobama is also, by being asleep at the foreign policy wheel, setting up our own next Great War.
And lastly, almost presented as irony in the film, the guy in charge of figuring out reparations, down to the last home & factory destroyed, livestock carried off and, cynically, the worth of an Allied soldier's life cut short in battle, was none other than J. M. Keynes -- demonstrating his incredible obtuseness and total lack of analytical insight, having been totally shunted by his vast ego and his daft eco-political philosophy...;-))

Liberal Fascism (Jonah Goldberg) covers Wilson's shenanigans in detail - highly recommend the book
To: The Raven
I have read some of it (including most of JG's takedown of Wilson ;-)), got to finish it sometime.
The thing about the film is that they dramatize the event using actors speaking the actual words of all the players at the conference, and the smugness of Wilson and the 'supreme victors' at the head table comes through in a way you don't get from LF...;-))
To: Bitwhacker
I wonder if this program is based on Margaret Macmillan's book,
Six Months That Changed the World.? Sorry I have missed it!
Wilson's hubris was enormous. And I agree, the parallels to Obama are huge.
To: MustKnowHistory
It is based on her book! ;-))
