"Any top ten list is bound to be subjective, but this one has criteria: to make this list, a show must have longevity (Sports Night was great, but didnt last), staying power (Threes Company was funny, but hopelessly dated), strong writing (hopefully self-explanatory) and memorable moments (theres a good reason that the final episode of M.A.S.H. was until very recently the most watched show in television history). Here are my choices, and let the debate begin."
Uh...no “Cosby Show”?
F/G is being replayed on IFC. There were only 18 episodes filmed. All are gold. Watch it!
Every night.
One Step Beyond, Rescue Me, Rubicon, Monty Python, The Outer Limits, Doctor Who, at times.

Those two episodes were two of the best shows ever shown on TV. I would add the one where a Union soldier is dead, and he and his wife walk to Heaven, and Abe Lincoln is behind them.
Rod Serling was brilliant.
Ed
Maverick was great! The Wild, Wild West was great, too...Artemus Gordon was my favorite character on TV.
Oh, and Rockford Files was a lot of fun to watch!
Ed
Get Smart was hilarious! Mel Brooks at his finest.
“It’s The Claw!”
“I’m not The Craw, I’m The CRAW!”
Or Bernie Kofield as the evil agent of CHAOS, Siegfried and his stupid sidekick Shtorker...man, I honed my love of humor on those shows.
Ed
I liked Burn Notice until they brought on the new character Jesse and took much of the focus away from Fi and Sam.

Didn’t she become a liberal activist congresswoman in California?

Is that one of those place names that a mapmaker will put on his map so he can tell if some other mapmaker is ripping off his work?

I believe that Diana Rigg awakened my zeal for the female pursuits. There aren’t any Emma Peels anymore.
Except I don’t find them sexy. The fellas in the old tv shows I listed were far sexier to me anyway. I like men who look and act like MEN.
The Original Star Trek was a groundbreaker in so many ways. Each of the stories was written with several levls of interpretaion, “Let That Be Your Last Battlefield”, “A Piece of the Action”, “The Changeling”, etc., being prime examples.
The shows on this list all suck except for Seinfeld.
Mr Ed and Gomer Pyle has them all beat, no to mention Andy Griffith.
Only Seinfeld should be on that list. The rest suck.....Ok Saturday Night Live had some moments but not overall in the top 10. West Wing was ok occasionally at least before 9/11, but after that was flat.
No order:
Friends
Family Ties
Little House
Touched by an Angle
Step by Step
Major Dad
Alice
One Day at a Time
Waltons
Seinfeld
Whatever happened to wholesome good tv shows like the one’s above.....long are the days of great shows. I am sure that some of you will think these shows are not worthy of this list, but the list is about wholesome family values.....well ok Friends was not particularly wholesome but it was a good funny and innocent tv show.
Why anyone would put that stupid Frazier on a list is beyond me.....Having a drunk star say dribble all day long is not funny. I guess it is that I can’t stand Casey Grammer or whatever his name is.....lol.
