Oh you are so right.

Just like with the dentist (of which I am NO where near finished ughhhhh)....1st consult they tell me my OOP will be ONLY $1000...then by the time we get done, I’ve forked over the $1000 but still owe $899???? and to finish the work the next year (which we are currently in but obviously haven’t been able to get back to finish) is close to $2000????

So my monthly is $40 and my annual limit is $1250 but when it is $50 to just walk in the door and I have a $50 deductible ...sheesh...

Our health insurance costs around $900 @ month. But we still have a sizeable yearly deductible which we very rarely reach. When we’re out of the country, we NEVER reach it. The $900 per month goes straight to the insurance company. When I fractured my skull and vertebrae, the cost for treatment, pain meds and x-rays came to LESS than $100. I would do better if the money was put in an escrow account and we used it ourselves for our medical care and not had insurance at all.
