Good evening!
The Obamas apparently attended church this morning in DC.
Sounds like former President Clinton is trying to bolster 0, saying he's getting his momentum back as his party faces major defeats in November.
Some conservative, maybe it was DeMint, as he's doing his best to get the Rs to stay on track, said this election to be really successful, must do more that discredit 0. The whole Left's agenda and ideas should be held accountable.
Oh, very, very, very good news. By the Greyhound track! Well. Happy Birthday to your Grandson.
Yes! Thank you! Feeling better. My husband, however, is now suffering from gout. Does anyone have any clues as to what causes this?
Those chips are wonderful. Our Mr. Naughty has one. No wonder he always has a chip on his shoulder.
I think he wanted to become a racing dog :)
Thanks! Son is picking him up and bringing him with when he picks the boys up from school in a little bit. They will be estatic!
I'm thinking this is primarily a dietary thing, but relief may come with this product that's advertised.
Next time, I'll listen better to get the name.
Nurse prairie, you have any info??
Wanted to tell everyone something positive...
An old friend who retired to NM with her husband is back in town, and we were able to get to gether this a.m.
She says there's a conservative R Hispanic woman running for gov. against another woman, a protege of the discredited Richardson...
Soooo....the R is getting some traction and she pulls no punches about all the right issues.
I said to my friend, "WHOA! this is news to me...and does Harry Reid know about this???!!" I'm not sure my friend pays enough attention to politics to have gotten that dig...
Anyway, if you're interested the candidate's name is Ramirez, and she's running for Gov of NM.. Here's hoping....I'm going to look her up!
BUT again, another strong conservative woman here!!
estatic=ecstatic
NM is heavily Dem, so this good...
Thank you both!
That’s it Yes!...why I couldn’t find it spelling her name correctly and all is beyond me, but oh well..Thank you!
Go Susana! he, he...
My uncle has gout once in a while. I’ve heard that drinking black cherry juice helps.
I will get some black cherry juice! Thanks!
The question I have is: If it is diet induced, how long does it take after ingesting the wrong food, does it take for the gout to appear? If we knew this, we might be able to understand which food is causing this.
Yes, there are clues about gout. Basically it is a concentration of uric acid crystals accumulating in a joint in the body. The joint most often affected is one connecting a big toe to the foot. It can happen in another joint.
While the causes of it are not fully known, it is suspected that a high protein diet is a contributing factor.
Having said that, I have been told my toe pain, and it is quite painful at times like the toe was broken, is gout. However, I have flunked the blood uric acid test. I didn’t have abnormal amounts of uric acid in my blood. I also don’t have the redness and swelling which accompanies gout. Then, this summer I read that you can still have gout w/o having the acid in the blood.
So that tells me ... the science is not conclusive and gout is still relatively unknown.
I’m sorry. That’s all the info I have on it. And it isn’t very helpful.
Ya’ know what I think? Disregard what I said about gout unless it is confirmed by another source. The pain in my toe must be from another source because I have absolutely NONE of the other signs. The doc who guessed at gout must have been wrong. Basically, she had made up her mind beforehand, didn’t really investigate and wasn’t interested in investigating further.
I appreciate your comments!
big BIG smile hon
It might be necessary to keep a food diary and track items, or at least think about connections that may occur to him.
black cherry juice...awhile back I read that it's helpful for handling inflammation of joints...but...look in the natural food section of your grocery store, as it's better to get a non-sugar added product.
R. W. Knudsen makes such a product line, and it's called:Just ( whatever kind of juice)
Wish I had time to detail Dick Morris's comments on Hannity, but he was very upbeat and laughed at Clinton's advice to the Dems... He said Reid is toast, and that the only witchcraft going on is already in DC
