I don’t know if you remember about my friend and neighbor, Helen. We had been such good friends. We went shopping together, went to lunch occasionally, and we visited each other in the summer and sat on our patios. She was also one of my best swimming buddies.
She got Parkinson’s and it wasn’t real bad during the first 2 years, then her hubby passed away and one of her grandson’s committed suicide and she became worse and worse. She had to sell her home and move in with her daughter. She is doing well but her daughter works and she stays by herself all day and gets lonely. We talk on the phone occasionally and I took a pizza once and we lunched and gabbed all afternoon. I should do that more often but life is just so busy. “Life should never be so busy that we don’t have time for an old friend”. But it happens.

I know what you mean, JC. We do get busy and tied up with our own lives - but it doesn’t mean we don’t care for others - our friends, family and loved ones. We can always pray for them, when we can’t physically be there for them. ((((HUGS))))

Amen! We can always pray for someone. Life is so very busy and I always thought as I got older, that I might sit in a rocker now and then.(like I’ve seen in pictures..LOL!)
