Good evening!
In another discouraging and revolting development, the 0 administration has submitted a report to the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights detailing this country's supposed failings and lapses. Maybe a few elements of progress were reported as well but that's not likely the focus of this unprecedented report.
Oh no, for this administration, the U.S. must be brought down to the level of all the other tormentors & barbarians in the world. It's our history, you know....
It truly takes demented minds to draw these moral equivalencies.
2/3s before you begin reading “Crimes Against Liberty” please take 1 (ONE) cinnamon extract tablet. The intro is enough to tell the whole story. Just warning you to keep your head from exploding and your bp at the normal level.
It is nice to be right. It would be very politically astute of her if she would publically and explicitly through her support behind Miller.
That would be the women (Brewer, Bachmann, Palin, etc), who represent the backbone of the Republican party.
Good morning everybody, checking in quickly. Great news about Miller! Hopefully the beginning of a housecleaning in the GOP that’s loooong overdue.
Must get some things down to the mailbox, will check in again later.
That’s true...a very good way to describe those books. Do you have a favorite, and do you know of another writer with similar themes?? They do seem to match the times we find ourselves in.
Yep
You have that right. We need more people like them representing the Republican party.
Just remembered something...
In the campaign season 2 years ago, there was a new development: folks could make calls from their homes for candidates across the country...just by signing up on a particular candidate's website.
This opportunity is again available, and please consider doing this!
Heard Michele Bachmann mention this the other day.
Just read An Old Captivity. Don’t think I have read that before.
Don’t know anyone who writes like Nevil Shute. Although, as an early aviation engineer he does fit in with the other early aviators who were such wonderful writers. They all seemed to have an interesting combination of pragmatism and mysticim.
If anyone comes across a Live Hurricane Thread, please ping me.
Haven't paid much attention to the news today, so I'll go and catch up with the latest.
Wow! That thread was started Sunday. Thanks, LB
I should have remembered that NautiNurse starts these threads and searched her name!
Checking in. Our power has been off. I heard that a pole was down. I pray no one was injired.
Have you read Shute’s “Trustee from the Toolroom” yet? It is one of my favorite Shute stories.
I don’t think have read this one. Thanks for the tip! It looks like the Kindle edition will be out in mid-September.
Glad to know this author is perhaps better known than I thought.
I don’t know where that web site is. Is Michelle Bachman listing it on her site?
Good night all.
Please pray for JT and his bride....."we can't close on our house tomorrow...and if they don't let me [the bride] sign for the house myself then JT will miss his class date. Everything is really frustrating right now so prayer would be awesome."
The powers that be have said that JT must be physically present and don't plan on accepting the power of attorney.
I hope there are no flight delays today from Earl!,
