1. Drive really slow
2. Go first at an intersection when you were there first
3. Beep when you dont instantly start after a green light
4. Tailgaters who easily could go around you
5. Dont pay attention at traffic lights
6. Lane changers
7. Write text messages while driving.
8. Turn in front of you without using a signal.
9. Tailgate when youre behind someone else.
10. Wave you through a stop sign even though they were there first.

I got rear-ended at an intersection where the light was out. I treated it like a 4-way stop, as had everyone in front of me and to the side. The idiot behind me said “oh, I thought we had the green light.”
“Dude, there was NO light, it is out. It’s a four way stop”
Totaled my cherry 6-series BMW, the one I had lusted after since I was a teenager.
To top it off, when we traded insurance info, he questioned whether USAA was a real insurance company.
“Guess you’ve never been in the military or had anyone in your family in the military, huh?” (I was not due to injuries, but both my parents were).
“Uh, no.”
You're obviously not from around here, are ya?
LOL! I like that.
Charles, I’m not trying to enforce the law, just trying to stay alive. As I said, I’m happy to get over for you when I can do so safely. Speeding is dangerous, and so is tailgating.
I remember once I was in the left lane passing a line of cars, when some maniac going about 90 starts high beaming me, so I go ahead and be the nice guy and let him through.
You can imagine the intense Schadenfreude that I experienced a few miles down the road when I saw him pulled over by the Highway Patrol. I just looked at him and did my best Nelson, “HA HA!”
Yeah, they call those Piouses for a reason.
I usually just pray for them - especially if there are indications that they have children.
If you are going 76 in the left lane and the cars in the right lane are going under 70, as the situation you described, then you wont be cutting anyone off. If you are going raster than someone and you get in front of them, they are not going to run into you.
And the left lane on a highway is always for passing. If you are not passing, you should get over. Doesnt matter if you feel inconvienced, it is the rule. Most highways even have signs that state that. What you are saying is that it is ok for you to inconvience somene else as long as no one inconviences you.
You are merely creating your own scenarios, you need to move out of the passing lane and let traffic flow, if you are breezing along at 75, then there are always places in the right lane to move to.
Very little is more hazardous than having an anal weirdo locking up the passing lane and creating chaos, inflaming tempers, and causing people to figure out ways to get around him and his one man "I'm King of the World" senior citizen drive.
I haven’t seen the exit ramps used as a passing lane. That must be interesting.
I must have missed that memo.
I used to drive as fast as the fastest person I could follow. Now that I don’t do that anymore, I find that I often have to pull over into slower-moving traffic to let speeders pass. And sometimes that means that I get stuck for a while, and other people get to pass me.
But I find that I almost always still get where I want to go, and I don’t have pissed-off people tailgating me.
What I hate is when I pull over to let someone pass, and then they DO pass, but drive slower than I was driving before, and they don’t move over to let me go by them.
I also hate when I let people into the left lane to pass a slower-moving car, and then they decide to camp in the left lane and block me. Makes me sorry I was courteous to them.
But when I’m driving in the left lane, I always watch for people in the center lane who want to pass people, and I let them come over, even if I have to slow down. It’s the courteous thing to do, and encourages people to stay in the slower lanes except to pass.
It bothers me on most american highways when the entire left lane is full, the center lane is half-full, and the right lane is empty.
Although in those cases, I’ll just pull into the right lane, and pretend that’s the only lane, and just drive, passing people I meet on the left, while ignoring the line of cars in the far left lane. Yes, that means I’m “passing them on the right”, but it’s not like I can pass them on the left when I’m in the right lane and there is no “lefter” lane than they are in.
Ah, but the guy doing 65 has someone else in front of him doing 65, and they’re not very far apart, are they? Not as easy to pull back in as you make it sound.
All of the time. I've often wondered why...they can't all be stupid. ;)
Move over to the right lane and let him pass, I do it all the time, if the guy wants to drive slower let him, I hate the types that sit over in the left lane and say, I’m doing the speed limit, what do you want !! MOVE OVER TO THE SLOW LANE.
Okay, now I feel better, I now return you to your regular traffic ...
Even more annoying is a driver who stops at a green traffic signal, it happens way more than you might think. Just observe the timid folks who want a green arrow to make a left turn when there isn’t one displayed at the moment, but the light is green. If you are in the lead and parked at a green light, expect to be reminded that green means go.
I believe in moving out of the left lane to let people pass.
But if I got a ticket simply for driving in the left lane, I’d probably fight it, and my argument would be that the left lane was the safest lane to drive in, and the law shouldn’t require me to put myself at unnecessary risk.
So long as I move over when faster cars are approaching, I’m not hurting anybody by driving on the left. But the left lane allows me to bail out onto the shoulder, away from traffic, if there is an emergency (could be an animal darting, something dropped from another car, a blowout, or any number of other things).
Sound like the libtards who put ObaMao in office thinking they had a green light to create the United Soviet Socialist States of America.
I hope you got 100% of your Beemer repair costs out of his hide.
