I know. Big Deal. Who cares? Why post a vanity about it? I don't know.
Jaws came out when I was five years old. I just watched it for the first time. I had heard that the special effects weren't that great. So I never bothered watching it. It was actually pretty decent.
I don't know about Jaws 2 - 4. Should I bother?
Did you know that Spielberg was worried Jaws would be a big failure?
I liked Hitch’s movies, but you gotta admit when a 26 or 27 year old comes up with a horror phenomenon that wins 3 Oscars, and became the highest grossing film of all time,
(Jaws grossed more than $7 million, and was the top grosser for the following five weeks.[43] During its run in theaters, the film became the first to reach more than $100 million in U.S. box office receipts.[39][44] Jaws eventually grossed more than $470 million worldwide ($1.9 billion in 2010 dollars[45]) and was the highest grossing box office film until Star Wars debuted two years later.[46][47]

that’s GOT to cause some jealousy from the old master.
All I’m saying is the old gentleman could have handled it more gracefully.

Exactly! That's what made the first Alien movie so much better than the following ones.
When Jaws came out in 1975, I was too young to see it (6 years old). I also wasnt yet the moviegoing fanatic I would become in just a couple years. But in 1978, I saw Jaws 2 when it came out, and then in 1979 they rereleased Jaws in the movie theaters and then I got to see it.
