Lovely.
I ask my computer, yard helper about upgrading to Window7 and he said I would not really get the benefits of it’s being so much faster as I only have a 1 GB computer.
I had to uninstall and reinstall Norton this morning..error in Live update.
Took me awhile to figure out why I could not get online.
I have 3GB. I wish I had 4 or 6! LOL
I bought a 500GB portable hard drive last week. When we get home and Marissa gets back to school, I’m going to copy everything to it and then think about Windows 7. I wonder if all of my new S/W programs will work on 7.
Lovely opening, Billie! (And “Lucy” is a cute name for your turtle!)
Try this for a new hard drive, a Terrabyte! for just $80

HONEYSUCKLE
When my children were young,
We had a glider at the far side of our long front porch.
Lattice work went from one end to the other
From the ground, all the way up to the roof overhang.
That wood was covered with climbing honeysuckle.
It was always a blessing,
to sit out there, after the children were in bed,
and smell the awsome frangrance of those beautiful blooms!
I put all my text documents and pictures on a flash drive and have plenty of room left...just in case I pull another stupid and delete my files..or something goes wrong.
I really don’t need the office programs, game playing ability, etc..but I sure do need this to start faster!
I will be glad to get a faster Windows..I may give myself a gift for Christmas. I hate freeze ups, too.
I’ve disconnected my old desktop as I can’t sit at it and the monitor is going, too.
Weinie
My wife bought me a year of Carbonite so all my files are backed up automatically! The peace of mind is well worth the $50 a year for the unlimited capacity and no lost files!!!
Very lovely, yorkie. Looks great along the water!
I’ve heard that the scent of the honeysuckle is God’s apology for Mondays! (I’ve also heard that Chocolate was as well!)
Love your beautiful hanging baskets, Billie! The poem is a great description of what flowers do for us!
Here goes: “I Love Lucy”....she’s cute!
I’ve noticed how beautiful the crepe myrtles have been in our area this year also! They seem to keep blooming no matter what!
I even have my LONG favorites filed in email and on my flashdrive...I hated losing pictures most of all..so every picture I download is stored another place, too, now..
I had the flashdrive with my old desktop files and all that unused space so I just used it..Of course I need to update it myself..so it isn’t as good as having Carbonite.
I do not use the computer for anything but email, news and information besides posts on FR. I can’t write poetry or prose..so there’s nothing to lose there..and no business online either.!
Your flowers are beautiful, too, Meg!
I am noticing fall is floating out there as the days go by! Even though it is hot, I’m not ready to let go of summer!
I believe both are surely true!
They have downgraded the expected high temp from 106 to 104..I get no feeling of fall looming! Of course fall comes late here...I look forward to that first cool spell but don’t like winter ..and short days.
Thank you, jaycee...It’s a Pennsylvania scene.
