"What a desolate place it would be without flowers."


HONEYSUCKLE

When my children were young,
We had a glider at the far side of our long front porch.

Lattice work went from one end to the other
From the ground, all the way up to the roof overhang.
That wood was covered with climbing honeysuckle.

It was always a blessing,
to sit out there, after the children were in bed,
and smell the awsome frangrance of those beautiful blooms!

Sweet memories indeed, yorkie.
A few times I have smelled a delightful sweet perfume when I was out to feed the raccoons at night..I think it was the wild honeysuckle in the woods..

That honeysuckle looks like art! There is nothing that smells as sweet as honeysuckle! There is some growing wild up back and every now and then, I will get a whiff of it!

Honeysuckle is the sweetest smell! we always had it when I was a kid. :)
