Masons found a full set of silver Masonic jewels stashed in the attic of Corinthian Lodge AF&AM in Concord, Massachusetts. The link goes to a news video. They say the set is handmade and 200 years old.
The jewels are worn by the various officers of each lodge. They are literally a badge of office. Paul Revere was the orginal Master of Corinthian Lodge, and, of course, a silversmith. If these were made by him, they would be quite a treasure.

That is, my suspicion is that the org has been largely infiltrated and perverted by liberal progressives....or lost its compass. Prove me wrong.
Of the several Masons I know, two noteworthies are a Kennedy-rumpswab lawyer and a cop who can’t tie his own shoes.
...not to mention Mass Masons’ support of Mass DARE program [Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education...’teach your kids to use drugs’] in the public schools.
I guess your intentions were prolly good. Or maybe not...or you’re not as collectively ‘smart’ as you think you are.

Somebody needs to write a narrative describing the provenance of that Bible. That is something that should be kept with the lore of the lodge and passed on to the members — unless there is a museum of Masonry somewhere where it could be preserved.
Legend has it that the Boston Tea Party followed a local Masonic Lodge meeting.
I suspect that secret inter-lodge communications were utilized by Washington to communicate with areas that were controlled by the Brits.
Washington may not have been a very good battlefield general in the sense of spectacular victories, but he had a knack for the Spy Game. Pretty good at counter-intel, too.

Family legend says that when he and a buddy left the camp, they stole a white stallion to give to GW (the one Tully painted the picture of) and stampeded the other horses in the corral.

I have a piece of linen, made from flax grown by a great great grandmother. It’s been kept so that the air hasn’t gotten to it and it looks new. Cloth can be deceptive.

A new Grand master decided the old regalia needed to be replaced with new. They were after long deliberation obtained and the old ones were stored in the attic and after the old men died, were forgotten.
The old ones were after all, merely homemade and lacked the prestige of that which is new and made by the foremost creator of regalia.
I suspect that your guess is correct. But who stuffed them in between the insulation? It has been my experience that lodge and fraternal regalia is expensive and is generally treated with great respect. But, my mother bought me a KC sword in a junk shop one time. She thought it would make a good wall decoration. (She’s not Catholic.) In the first place it could not be hung because one of the brackets was missing. In the 2nd place, I am Catholic and I did not want to display it in my home. It stood around in a corner of my closet for 15 years, falling on my foot every time it was bumped. When we were moving, my husband finally gave it to another junk dealer who was Catholic. He was delighted and promised to return it to his own KC lodge for proper disposal. Of course, he may have lied about his intentions, too. After all, he was a junk dealer, and that is part of the business model.

Interesting family stories. My family on my father’s side was ethnic German going back in the Philadelphia area to maybe 30 years before the Revolution. No stories that I’ve heard regarding the period. The Germans in the area were somewhat divided in their loyalties as were just about every other group.
I’ve heard it estimated that 1/3rd were pro-revolution, 1/3rd were pro-Brit, and 1/3rd just wanted to be left alone. Some things never change.
If you have proof of a Massachusetts lodge or lodges that used their position to support a political initiative, go ahead and provide it. They could be thrown out of the fraternity for such acts.
Meanwhile, do any of the masons that you know have screen names glorifying a Nazi German attack submarine that sank Allied supply ships and left the crews to drown?
Have you ever checked out the history of the Bradford Accords...It is my understanding the Rebel German farmers were very much involved in early statement to Governor Bradford. Your family may have signed it also.
We are told that the grandfather that spent the winter at Valley Forge left his home with crops in the field and his wife with a brand new baby....Other grandfather travel back and forth to Fort Pitt to serve.
It's not political activism that, in particular, rankled me; rather, the public support of ‘do-gooder’ initiatives [that were demonstrably destructive] and a federal takeover of public education.
Masons still support the DARE program. [do a Google] I don't know what happened to Goals 2000...changed the name?...still metastasizing?? I got my kids out of the public schools in the early 90’s. Unplugged from the Matrix.
Dasboot means ‘that boat’. It's the name of a sailboat, actually. It honors my great-grandfather and father...both submariners: German [WWI], the former; US, WWII] the latter. Both served with honor....as submariners. And I also had family on both sides of the War between the States. What's your point??
