Good evening.
As we end another celebration of Independence Day and remember a generation's sacrifice and achievements long ago, let us renew our determination to protect and serve our country, its peoples' liberties and heritage through the tough times we now endure.
You’re welcome. I love birthdays.
Off to listen to Greta.
You’re welcome. It was our pleasure.
I am horizontal for the evening. Today has been long, tedious and the ferocious weather hasn’t helped.
It’s so hot, I might just start to believe in global warming.
Good morning!
Good morning.
Are we having company for breakfast? There’s enough for an army. ;o) Thanks!
Did you do anything special for your Birthday?
I want you all to start the day with a good breakfast.
Just a quiet dinner at home. Mr Geee made steaks on the grill.
In my opinion, that is a perfect way to spend a birthday.
Good morning!
Ahhhhhhhh, yes, I agree.
Steaks on the grill, but not for too long, I hope. Yum! Nothing more is needed.
Today must be the day for baby animals. I saw a very small squirrel in my crepe myrtle just a few minutes ago and now I saw a tiny humming bird visiting my rose of sharon. Not sure if they were actually babies, but that’s my guess.
Stupid spy swap is being reported on Fox.
Good morning everybody. Today will involve a trip to town and several errands. Perhaps we can finally get some things done that have been on the platter for entirely too long.
It seems you’re staying put for a while. I, otoh, will be leaving for NC in about 3 hours. Others will be here at the house though. I hope they remember to water the roses.
Last weekend I was very frustrated because the places where I was had no wireless internet AND because I left my phone charger at home, thinking the battery would last just the few days. HA!
But, this week, I was digging through my computer case I discovered the specific dongle which connects my phone and laptop. With that the phone would have been recharged AND the phone would have connected the computer to the net! Both problems solved..... now, a week late.
OTOH, I now know how to connect to the net while traveling on the road. Yay! So, something more to entertain me while sitting in the passenger seat trying to ignore the other drivers in Atlanta.
I'm off to Tractor Supply (one of my favorite stores) for feed.
I like the smell and feel of feed-and-seed stores. There’s a special ambience in them which reminds me of good times and fundamental values.
I’ll be at the Ridge Haven Conference Center. I do enjoy that place. It is peaceful and removed from the hustle and bustle. The downside is they have no laundry facilities and I’ll be there for a week. Some evening we’ll have to hunt up a laundromat. I do not like to do that. Another downside is that they have a good bookstore. I’m always tempted.
Laudromats.....welcome to my (summertime) world. The one advantage to a laundromat is that you can get several loads of wash done at once.
I do start missing my appliances about September which is one thing (in addition to cold weather setting in) that makes us head back to S. TX.
We will be on the move next week, going to a bluegrass festival on the flat-lands. Then we’ll retreat back up to the high country for the rest of summer.
