What my plan was when I created the ZOT
(and how I ended up) ^ | June 28, 2010 | Lord Dagon

Posted on 06/28/2010 12:43:57 PM PDT by DagonofAlbion

I deposit the Risk into the account of a dummy finance company for management, called the republican party.

Then, I deposit the damage into the account of a dummy corporation for control, called the democratic party.

I leave all the bible belt religions as spoilers, or third parties; putting them down as department store chains. To stave off the profit into the mints money burning facility, to insure that the money is worthless in terms of pragmatic value, and is only practical believed values.

And the Black market is pimped as bad but, even losing even your kindeys in a hotel bathtub on a drunk, is a value laundering scheme...

Thank you all for your input and participation!!!

Sinusi? Sorry about the migraine! Have you considered contacting a lawyer? You might be able to find one who would light a fire under your property manager, either pro-bono or for a small fee. It doesn’t cost you anything to call around and ask!

Often when Home School Legal Defense Association member have problems with school districts or local governments, all it takes is a letter from the attorney to get the desired result. The threat of a lawsuit about your health, since the manager is NOT taking an action she easily could, might make an impression.

Frank and I had a nap. Still no fever since yesterday afternoon, and he hasn’t thrown up. I think if he wakes up tonight, I’ll bring him downstairs (and let Ash out and give her a pre-dawn breakfast ;-), so we won’t have any expectorations in our bed again. This was easier when we didn’t have a dog, and when she slept with Anoreth, too. Anoreth could sleep through the Blitz, and that was before her CG experience!

Off to ask the NC Forum about cooking okra ...

In Vegas?

rotfl

Lawyers in Vegas are for accidents, bankruptcies, and DUI's.

I can't count the number of attorneys I have asked about this and my student loan. The response to all is nil - nada - nothing - nul - zero-

No lawyer in NV who is in his right mind, would take on the Clark County Entity. The one legal firm I contacted that was qualified had a "conflict of interest." (AKA - we work for Them)

It is a MOST reasonable idea. At least to you and me. However, in Vegas, “reasonable” is translated into $$$$$$

But I’m NOT willing to give up. Someone, somewhere, has the information I need and the willingness to proceed. I’ve never been a quitter. I won’t start now!

It did seem reasonable.

Sigh. Not looking forward to the conference there next January, but at least Vegas is not short on restaurants the way downtown Albuquerque is.

Seaman Anoreth ping! More Hawai'i news:

***

My section leader approved my leave chit, which pretty much means that I'm on for leave. He has to turn it into the duty manager, who will most likely approve it (can't think of a reason why he wouldn't). Bosn and my Chief have to sign, too, but they'll approve it. They're happy because I got good marks. I can fly in on Friday night/Saturday morning on the 3rd, like before, and sleep in the car on the drive to the beach. I'm officially taking the 5th-16th, but I have the weekend off so it doesn't have to go on the record. That way I can stay at the beach and then be home for a few days to ... visit with the neighbors, I guess. Take the dog to get washed again or something. See all of the new cats that live across the street. Some real Mexican food would be nice, too. I've been eating Thai and sushi for months now, which isn't the end of the world, but is still not comparable to enchiladas verdes.

Oh, yes. When I get back to Seattle I'll send a box with all the presents I got for people, that way I don't have to get things through airport security. I still don't have anything for the small boys, but I don't know if it will matter much if their presents came from overseas, specifically. I'll get them a cheap, reasonably unbreakable thing from San Fran. Just don't open the box until I get there.

I wanted to go to the Jimmy Buffett restaurant, but everybody else was a snob and didn't like the music. Like Bill. People who object to Jimmy Buffett are weird. I did go the beach though, and walked around. A guy Baker knew from high school who was stationed there with the Navy showed us around. He was a nice guy, though, so it was fine. Also some people came and put parrots on us. The parrots got crumbs all over my shirt, but they didn't bite. I like parrots better than lemurs or monkeys. In Thailand, people would show up and drop snakes and spiders and things on you. Normally I like spiders, but not when a questionable person drops them on your shoulder and starts talking Malaysian at you. Then it's a bit unnerving.

I looked up some schools in Ireland. The required academics are about average with state colleges in the States. I'll have to learn Gaelic, though. I wonder if it counts as a language credit, or if I have to learn something that people actually use. Gaelic is more of a curiosity than anything, it seems. I could do more Spanish ...

I promise, Gaeilge (Irish Gaelic) will be an adventure. People do use it, though it seems the number of Gaeilge-only speakers is very small. All public officials in Ireland are required to speak Gaeilge -- which leads to an interesting situation where a colleague in my company, who is Lebanese but works in Dublin and is also some kind of official, speaks Gaeilge.

I am not fluent enough in Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) to understand spoken Gaeilge very well. (Over and above accents and little things like that, Irish has a present tense that just induces a blank when I hear it.) But written, the two are generally close enough.

Anoreth, you won't use it much outside of Ireland; I can promise that. But using it in Ireland will endear you much, and likely take you (good) places you wouldn't see otherwise.

This book I am reading is quite an education!

I'm rather annoyed about his home government, but mine own is no exemplar in this regard.

I will pass it on to LoM when I am done, and then determine where it goes next.

I wish I could recall the name of the short story I read about that. The last paragraph was creepy. In a slithery sort of way.

Okay... I am drawing a total blank on that.

But I'm happy to be living where there are no venomous snakes, the worst spiders seem to be bacteria-carriers, we don't have an excess of nasty old Yellow Face, we don't need A/C, and the "rain" is usually no more than a delightful mist to moisten one's upturned face (after you remove your glasses!).

But I digress.
