What's yer round up number. How long you been a freeper? (Old Time Freepers Wanted)

Scythian - Since Dec 29, 1998
I've given my opus a few times but always came a crawlin' back. I figure if they go by "join date" we old timers will go first ...
So any active Freepers out there have joined dates more ancient than mine?

I arrived here via a link on the Drudge Report.

Another of the Class of 1998 here.
Since Sep 24, 1998. I lurked a few months before joining.
Odd. Two days before I got married. Coincidence? I don’t know.

Why does everyone gush over A+Bert?
This creep was rude, crude, profane, insulting, not funny, not smart....and it was always a question of whether he was mentally-ill or drunk every time he posted. He was really out-of-control just before he was permanently banned. He was not a credit to this forum.
Nostalgia should not be taken too far. However, I guess the adage, "time heals all heels" has an element of truth in it.

Thank God I never got zotted. If I had been, I might never have come back and learned how fantastic this place is.
I would have been far less wise than I am now, too!
As far as I'm concerned, FreeRepublic is an American institution right now . . . like Ford trucks, the Allman Brothers, and NASCAR.

The dreaded OPUS! and the more-dreaded FReepercides. Trying to talk them off the ledge before they opused. Or telling them to jump, if it really was the best for all.

Can anyone remember the name of the poster who posted everything in haiku? He was always posting about men in grey and turtles on fence posts.

The Freeper I was most in awe of? Alamo-girl! The Clinton files she put together were something else.
OWK was an admired freeper who I think is no more.

Must have been that stuff. I can’t believe it has been that long.
One thing I remember along the way was Laurie Dhue’s lips. Wonder what she’s doing now?

Thank God I never got zotted. If I had been, I might never have come back and learned how fantastic this place is. I agree. American as apple pie!
I had to come back with my hat in my hand after the 1998 Republican primary fiasco. JimRob banned me for what, 6-9 months? I called him from Stephens Inc in Little Rock and he said he would reinstate me in a "few months". Attended all the DC innaugurals too. I felt like the prodigal son.
Jim Rob, any way to reinstate my 1998 ish sign in date? My 10 year probation is over ;)

I came in when Monica/Drudge hit and stayed through the impeachment, when they didn’t convict I drifted away from everything for awhile. I forgot my password and had to re-register later...maybe the mods can find my original sign up date? A few years back I found some of my old posts, not sure of my screen name back then.
