I think he is enraged that the lesser beings (voters) are not happy with him. This, to his mind, is impossible. I think he is further enraged that people, including Spike Lee, are telling him what to do. As POTUS, he thought those days were behind him as he ascended the throne to ‘rule’. We will see this scary, dead-eyed stare more often as his popularity declines and people continue to tell him what to do. It is the emptiness inside of a malevolent narcissist and it is similar to the part of the old ‘Incredible Hulk’ television series where the man who knows he can metamorphose into a raging Hulk cautions others not to make him mad, saying in an almost sing song voice “Don’t make me angry.....you won’t like me when I am angry.” Only the warning is not to BP or those who he’d like to kick -the warning he delivers is to the populace unsatisfied with his performance - we who dare to criticize him. We’re next...or so his lifeless eyes say.
