"17 more states planning Ariz. 'illegal' crackdown
But ICE chief says feds might not 'process' illegals arrested by state

In what is developing into a standoff between states and the federal government that could be bigger than gun control or even health care, 17 states have launched versions of Arizona's immigration law, even as federal officials say they may not bother to process illegal aliens caught by the states.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, which has been trying to get officials to address the open southern border for years, warned the consequences could be dire.

"They've told the American public to go eat cake," he said.

His organization is assembling the list of state efforts to emulate the Arizona law, which makes it illegal under state as well as federal law to be in the state without documentation.

Seventeen states are now filing versions of Arizona's SB 1070, which is designed to help local police enforce America's existing immigration laws," ALIPAC said in a report today.

The report said numerous national and local polls indicate 60 to 81 percent of Americans support local police enforcing immigration laws.

Gheen said the states where some form of immigration crackdown is under development include Arkansas, Idaho, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Utah."

If the tyrannical Marxist regime our alien president Obama should decide to oppose the efforts of these states to control the invasion, then I would hope these state governments would band together and start demanding that the alien president produce a legitimate birth certificate that establishes the fact the he's constitutionally eligible to be president to the United States.

States forced to do the job that our out-of-control government refuses to do.

In the end, few states will actually follow Arizona's lead.

The reasons are quite simple.

The politicians are both:

1) sniveling, selfish cowards, and

2) eager for yet more votes come election time, and those new found votes will come from the illegal alien parasites they allow to remain in this country, legal citizens be damned.

Politicians are first and foremost looking out for themselves, and most have been educated or profoundly influenced in a marxist environment.

If the feds refuse to follow federal immigration law even after the illegals are caught, I’d say the awkward stage is over.

Outstanding! Let's get lots of states enacting such a law.It will gradually spread...so,for example,if VA passes it PA will have to do it...then NY...then MA....etc,etc.

Of course California would be...so to speak...the "big enchilada".

Personally speaking, I wish these states would just enact Mexican Immigration LAWs, and call them the Calderon Immigration Act of 2010.

Your comments are right on the money Martial. I wish other states would hurry up and move on this support of Arizona. I’ve been looking around the internet for products I can buy to help support Arizona, but other states enacting the same legislation has got to happen. I like others wish Texas would come on board, but Rick Perry really is a RINO. This guy tried to shove through the NAFTA super highway, got caught and shut down by the locals. God Bless Jan Brewer.

I wish California would join AZ but it will never happen.

I wouldn't be so sure.AZ already has it...if NV,NM,UT and OR pass it then the pressure on CA will increase enormously. It's kinda like a neighborhood in which one house suddenly starts displaying one of those "protected by Brinks Security" signs in the front yard.In short order every house in the area has one.IMO it's the same basic principle.

Hoomama predits that if these state enforce the laws...The illegal will move to neighboring states...Overloading their state systems...and then they’ll enact the law....Just a matter of time...The ball is rolling.

Any correlation you can see? States desiring to follow AZ seem to fall into the $133 million to $3.9 billion range.

Florida is absent and the GOp controls the FL House and Senate. FL GOP is filled with RINOs - Jeb Bush, Connie MAck, Crist (I now) and Rubio who was against the AZ law before he was slightly for it.
