BEST QUOTE OF 2009...BRAVO FOR SHERIFF JUDD
Gotta admire the man for being honest.
POLK COUNTY FLORIDA SHERIFF GRADY JUDD
An illegal alien in Polk County Florida who got pulled over in a routine
Traffic stop ended up 'executing' the deputy who stopped him.
The deputy was shot eight times, including once behind his right ear at
Close range. Another deputy was wounded and a police dog killed.
A state wide manhunt ensued.
The murderer was found hiding in a wooded area with his gun..
After he shot at them, SWAT team officers open fired and hit the guy 68 times.
Now here's the kicker.
Naturally, the liberal media went nuts and asked why they shot the
Poor undocumented immigrant 68 times.
Sheriff Grady Judd told the Orlando Sentinel: Talk about an all-time classic answer.
'Because that's all the ammunition we had.'

True - yes. But the bad guy wasn’t an illegal alien.

'Because that's all the ammunition we had.' Hmmm...
That's likely to be a very appropriate post script to the November elections.

This reminds me of a hilarious quote from Woody Hayes, legendary Ohio State football coach. OSU scored a TD late, and with the game already out of reach, Woody went for a 2-point conversion.
Reporter to Woody Hayes: "Why did you go for two?"
Woody Hayes: "Because we couldn't go for three."
True story, one of many good ones from the Hayes/Schembechler rivalry.

True? I don’t know. But if it is, then it speaks poorly Sheriff Grady Judd.
How?
Well, if all his SWAT team had was only 68 rounds, then I suggest the next time around, they come better prepared.

I can't find the link, but wasn't there a story recently where a sheriff had to shoot an armed criminal, and the sheriff said the perp died of "natural causes?"
And when the reporter asked him how he could say "natural causes," the sheriff respond along the lines of "well I'd say somebody dying after they've been shot is a pretty natural occurence."
I'm almost positive I read about here on FR.

nine of the ten officers fired, hitting him with 68 of 110 shots. Tsk, tsk. That's only 61.81%. Those SWAT boys need more range time.
