With all the to do about the new law down in Arizona, it got me thinking about how often I have to show some form of identification in the course of my everyday life.
The big objection from the left is that you can be stopped and asked for "your papers"(nazi reference?). Well, let me list a few of the things I have to show "my papers" for:
Boarding an airplane (at least twice before you can board!)
Stopped for a traffic violation
To get my senior discount (ha)
To buy beer in a store (even though I'm 66 years old!)
To get my blood drawn (this is new)
Applying for a passport
Applying for a job (I don't do that anymore!)
I could go on, but I'm sure you folks can come up with a long list.
Have at it.
If you ran for president... oh wait.
Just thank God you don’t have to show ID to run for President! Phew!
to pawn something in a pawn shop
The federal government really does not want to see your identification papers. It only wants to see your credit card.
Liberals and Socialists and Maxists (I repeat myself) suck.
Try to get a kid on an AAU (or similar) sports team with out “papers” and BC.
in florida the new law to renew your license is that you have to show your birth cert. + 1 other form of id or proof of residency even though you have been licensed in the state for your whole driving carreerwhich for me is 39 years.....
In some stores that ask to see ID if you write a check or use a credit card.
Obamah wants to see your insurance PAPERS when your file your tax return.
To vote (at least in my precinct).
Don’t forget you have to show eight forms of ID and mortgage your first born to buy a bottle of Robitussin. (At least in MO you do!)
Many retail places, still, when you write a check. At the doctor’s office usually at least once each year.
Buying tobacco products.
Taking exams like the GRE, LSAT, MCAT
Taking a book out of the library.
Getting married.
Getting divorced.
Buying liquor if you look too young.
The other day I bought a can of spray paint, and the cash register needed to know if i was “of age”. (Cashier didn’t ask for my license, but could have.)
Use the old “It’s settled law” argument against the libs!

This 2004 ruling upheld that the cops have the right to ascertain identification.
In Texas, ID is required to purchase anything containing pseudoephedrine.
What next? Show ID to hire a prostitute? (Prostitute does NOT need ID).
