Good evening.
This morning the beauty of the countryside as I drove to church was heart-stopping. It is a landscape that has become very dear to me thru the seasons: in the river's valley it's easy to fall quietly into another time, another age. And then I remembered nature's terrible destructiveness yesterday on other landscapes, places that others hold dear. How to explain it all?? I can't..not easily.
Then at church, there was much joy: the confirmands were accepted into the church's membership with celebration and love. All these young people had found focus and purpose on the past year's journey.
But our church family also absorbed some terrible news: a dear couple has learned that the husband has a deadly cancer.
And there again the juxtaposition of joy and deep sorrow. That was the theme of the day, and perhaps many days in our lives and that of our country.
Thinking about it off and on throughout the day, one thing does seem clear. And that is that with God's help, it is possible to face it all...a rich, precious existence, not always understood, but appreciated nonetheless.
I’ve read it and liked it A LOT!!!!!!!
There you are.
Have had Grans a lot, and fam is coming over for B’day dinner celebration tonight. There are not enough hours in the day lately.
I slept 9 hours last night! That hasn’t happened in my world for 40 some years!
OOXX
Yours?
Happy birthday.
Happy Birthday! Pretty day today. Hope you have a great celebration ‘and maannny more’ :)
..as soon as she asks you the joke, she answers it! She thinks it so funny she can't wait to tell you the gag line :) She's so FIVE
No, not my B’day..........Twin Grandsons and daughter.....
Will take all the B’day greetings I can get, though. Not fair that Bit gets them all the time.
;o)
I’m tuckered out.
Sweet dreams, everyone!
I would have like to have known. I could have had a party or wake or something.
Can I collect survivor benefits? Will I ever get an electric bill? I don't use snail-mail for much, but I do rely on it for a couple of things.
And being declared dead by the post office is pretty much not on the list of low-probability events I have in front of me.
'I almost died and went to Texas.'

Good morning. Coffee-coffee.
How precious! Thanks for posting the picture. Thanks, Jackie, for the update.
For the most part it did. Thank you all for praying. It kept me non-functioning yesterday until about 3pm.
