Good evening.
This morning the beauty of the countryside as I drove to church was heart-stopping. It is a landscape that has become very dear to me thru the seasons: in the river's valley it's easy to fall quietly into another time, another age. And then I remembered nature's terrible destructiveness yesterday on other landscapes, places that others hold dear. How to explain it all?? I can't..not easily.
Then at church, there was much joy: the confirmands were accepted into the church's membership with celebration and love. All these young people had found focus and purpose on the past year's journey.
But our church family also absorbed some terrible news: a dear couple has learned that the husband has a deadly cancer.
And there again the juxtaposition of joy and deep sorrow. That was the theme of the day, and perhaps many days in our lives and that of our country.
Thinking about it off and on throughout the day, one thing does seem clear. And that is that with God's help, it is possible to face it all...a rich, precious existence, not always understood, but appreciated nonetheless.
I’m going for a real long shot - Make Music for Me.
I just like his name and, besides, his trainer is a woman.
I had an experience while on FB too. I was on one of their games, and boom, my laptop went to the dreaded blue screen. The verbiage said “MS windows has shut down your computer after detecting a threat.” I said YAY, and rebooted and all was well.
I have fabulous protection on the WORK laptop I use.
All is well, now.
I’ve been on FB for over a year, and haven’t had a problem. Interesting that you did. It makes me wonder how I managed to avoid it.
I’m on FB and am always wondering why. Think I’ll bow out gracefully.
Good morning. Having that cup of coffee right now!
Good morning! What is happening in your neck of the world today?
GOOD MORNING!! Clouds moving in, just a nip in the air, oil just off our beech due to hit any time now, roosters crowing, dogs barking, house cat has some kind of fit going on, ruuning back and forth in my Shack in the Back driving me. Oh well, reckon we all must have some ‘clouds’ in our lives.

I am attending a funeral today for a good friend of the family. My good friend John lost his mother to illness on Sunday.
I did much flower gardening for this woman, Mary, over the years. (I know I have mentioned my work with her garden before here on ATRW.) She was a very dear woman, and will be missed.
It is funny... because the family is very democrat. I am considered their token "Republican Friend". They do it good naturedly. Although last night during the wake one of the nephews asked if I was ever going to vote democrat. I smiled, and said, "Never".
The funeral is this afternoon. I told John I would be at his beck and call today.
Locally, a family lost 2 teenagers in a horrible crash....at the end of their driveway headed out to school. Can you imagine??? I just can't.......
Morning Toby!
The oil spill news is all over the place: perfect opportunity for O to takeover another sector of the economy...
Good morning. Got to go to the doc probally today, getting this shortness of breath when I walk and I am no way like this in normal times, I worry but hopefully it is just old age.

Thank goodness for our faith. Where would we be without it?
Good Morning!
Sooo very right!
