Truth in advertising:
I've been an off and on, Mitt Romney supporter.
By and large, off. But I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Mitt deserves a second look.
If given the chance, I will vote for Palin.
He’s dead, Jim.
Too early to unify behind one candidate. Now is the time to get it ALL out on the table.
I’m not as hard on Mitt as some around here. I do think he’s probably more conservative than his Massachussetts record appears. The fact that he governed in Massachussetts likely skewed the curve to the left.
That being said, he deserves the hits he takes ... and his performance in Massachussetts, regardless of whether it was pragmatic or ideological, may make him a less-than-desirable candidate to lead the post-tea-party GOP. There are better people out there for the job.
SnakeDoc
Not a chance here, Romney supports abortion.
The worst thing to be said about Mitt is that mentioning his name won't give the Fred Phelps Libtards the same reaction in anywhere near the same way that the mention of Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann's name will.
Unfortunately, the later trumpts the former.
Mitt pretty well blew his chances with me when he failed to distance himself from the Massachusetts health care fuster cluck which is already giving us an early warning on how ObamaCare will turn out.
Maybe when he says something pro Tea, we can listen to him?
Pray for America
My dream ticket was Palin/West or West/Palin.
Palin’s support of McLib has soured me a bit on her. I do understand why she did it - coalition building and personal loyalty - but it’s hard to stomach. That said, she seems to have backed off quite a bit on McLib lately.
Now, I think that Bachmann/West or West/Bachmann would be better.
Anyone/MittCare Romney is right out for me...
Apparently, the Party Establishment got to her -- she's been campaigning for McAmnesty against the real conservative Republican candidate.
In those famous words of John Wayne, “Not hardly!” Or if you prefer, “That’ll be the day!”
No quarter for Romney. He is making Conservative motions, hoping he'll be rewarded with a treat-—the presidency.
He is a worse RINO than McCain.
He epitomizes the pejorative, Slick politician.
And I haven't been seeing any great stands he is taking for Conservatives even not.
He sticks his finger in the wind and then lopes over to pretend he was at the front of the Conservative crowd all the time.
I knew his dad. And I want no part of him.
The imposter!
What does “Mitt” stand for as a first name? Mitthew?
Please explain to me how you can be conservative consider a vote for a candidate who supports abortion? I just need to understand why anyone can do that.
In my opinion if a candidate places no value whatsoever in the live of a child or protect the most innocent ....why would they place any value on your life?
Since Mitt just said ObamaCare was wonderful, I’d say it’s time to pile on.
He’s about as conservative as Nancy Pelosi is the Pope.
>>Mitt deserves a second look.
Not NO, but HELL NO.
Romney is STILL a phoney, lying, RINO, Political-Chameleon POS.
Since you pinged Jim Thompson to the thread.
I realize I’m straying perilously close to the edge here.
So I just added a pledge to the FReepathon. :)
Hmmm, don’t know much about McCotter. Can you toss me a link or two?
Not as a ZOT-summoning, per se; standard FR courtesy is to "ping" a fellow FReeper when quoting them. ;)
I have a BRILLIANT idea.........let’s all get behind another frickin’ RINO loser for 2012!
(Will the GOP ever learn?)
Except he hasn't. Indeed he STILL praises it and does not see it as a mistake.
So your premise is wrong from the get go.
McCain was a disaster, yet his one accomplishment was to bring Palin to the National scene.
I haven't heard Palin attacking J.D. and would expect that she will actively support Hayworth should he win the nomination.
