” Joe and Crystal sound perfect together.
Yes, they sure did. “
As did Sibohan and the Bee Gees..........
Can hardly remember Allen even singing!
David Cook was missed. Also Melinda Doolittle (my hubby’s fave.) She was so shredded here for her humility, remember?
AAah ... thank you.
You’re a great thread Daddy .. ;)
Whatcha up to these days ?
It’s an honor to be in the company of such luminaries as “bigmikebaby” and “iamfeelingstabby”!

Same impression.
Besides Cook, I don’t recall seeing Clay Aiken or Adam L....
Melinda was improperly demonized...........
There's another hangout? Where the cool people go? Can I get the secret handshake to get in?
No, not "arguably". It's not even close. Lee had a good performance if he could manage to sing in tune.
"But she did not even attempt to make her self likable by the audience, and she really, really wasnt."
Depends on what it is people want to like. Don't know where the "really, really wasn't" comes from. I didn't find anything about Crystal that dislikable.
Jonny, many thanks for your outstanding job as AI thread host this season.
I’ve been here from the beginning, and I can say this thread has always been more entertaining than the show itself.
I will miss all our comedians, but I’ll be looking for you on the other threads, esp. Michele Obama Fashion Threads.
Me too, me too!
I’m OK with disagreeing.
The difference was that Bowersox was only the most appealing with one’s eyes open. When you listen to her with your eyes closed, she could be anyone. She isn’t even as original sounding as Siobhan. When you see this hippie-looking little gal, and hear that she really can rock it, it’s kind of a first impression thing.
Whereas Lee sounds great aurally. He has a great quality to his voice. You want to keep hearing it, because it’s NOT like everyone else. So what if he misses a couple notes — they can clean that up in the studio.
Crystal doesn’t care whether you like her. Screw you if you don’t. Nothing wrong with that, but it’s not endearing. What she tries to put forth as confidence is actually a kind of F U bravado of the counter culture.
Lee nearly passed out, peed, and vomited in delighted shock that we all liked him and voted for him. That’s endearing!!
Actually, listening to Crystal with eyes closed is very comforting.
Her unique voice will sell well.
I find her excellent performances very endearing and the ‘studio’ versions posted online are especially good.
That's it! That is what is rubbing me the wrong way about her.
It is what bothered me about Adam last season as well. (well...of course his shouting didn't help)
You hit the nail on the head with your comments.
Last season Chris slowly worked his way into my heart. It seems Lee did the same this season.
Nice voices.
Good grief that’s harsh. He left on her last performance day. Yeowch.
Wonder if he’ll cash in on ‘exclusive’ interviews?
He is really cute - very straight looking compared to Crystal. I thought he was the babydaddy.
Interesting how much better she performed once he left her.
The last performance night and the finale, she was downright joyous.
Maybe the last few weeks weren’t so harmonious for her until they broke up.
It takes a very secure guy to support an ambitious woman ~ not an easy life.
I just rewatched the ending and Crystal was actually very supportive of Lee, and sort of holding him up.....and she was teary eyed I think because he was so genuinely blown away...and he remembered her and said “I love you Crystal” and hugged her....so she gained points in my book
(((Thank you, Didi :)))
"Oh ... You shouldn't have."
:)
Thank you so much!
Thank you! Have a great summer!
