Tuesday’s performances rankings
1t. Crystal (another great performance, although the didgeridoo was a bit distracting)
1t. Katie (she’s not popular on this board, but I thought she was in excellent form)
3. Siobhan (a toned down Siobhan got her back on track)
4. Tim (he’s the last of the people I thought would get eliminated before the Top 12, but for a change, I actually liked his latest performance)
5. Casey (Everybody seemed to like it more than I. Thought it was OK)
6. Andrew (took a step back, corny)
7. Aaron (meh)
8. Lee (I thought it was his worst performance... his vocals were off... it was pretentious... although the bagpipes were a WTF moment, they actually did somehow compliment the song)
9. Big Mike (I think he’s been the most consistently good among the men, but I thought this was a complete train-wreck... the vocals did not line up with the music, and it wasn’t very harmonious)

So far since the beginning of the Top 12, all three eliminations have been the girls, with Katie being vulnerable in the bottom three repeatedly. It’s about time some of the guys started to be eliminated.

I believe you may be the first human being to put “(Janice) Joplin” and “ick” in the same sentence.
You could do worse than channel Joplin. And Crystal’s interpretation was very unique while respecting the original material.
But to each his/her own.
It is never a bad season....when we have such a fantaastic, and irreverant Thread to keep us sane and feed our need to pick apart everything from song choice to style of bloomers ;-) LOL

I am here with pre-emptive beverages, before Ryan starts yammering on and on yet again tonight......Scotch NEAT for the big kids...Coffee or Tea for those that prefer to hide their Scotch in a camoflauge cup ;-) LOL
I haven't listened to it, but just knowing that makes me less of a Bowersox fan.
