Yes, I got to watch it on NASA TV on one of my computers. It was a beautiful launch, even on TV.

Ahem!! Greg surprised me....once again.

Dyngus Day

When : Always the Monday after Easter

Dyngus Day, also spelled Dingus Day, is a Polish Holiday. It is very popular in Poland, and in Polish communities in America. After the long Lenten holiday, Dyngus Day is a day of fun. And, perhaps a little romantic fun. It is always celebrated on the Monday after Easter.

There area all sort of ways for boys to meet girls. But, this one takes the cake.

Guys, on this day you get to wet the ladies down. Sprinkling or drenching with water is your goal. Chase after the ladies with squirt guns, buckets, or other containers of water. The more bold and gallant boys, may choose to use cologne. Hitting (gently, please) the ladies on the legs with switches or pussy willows is also common.

Yes ladies, you can strike back. Ladies , you get your revenge on Tuesday, when tradition has it that you throw dishes or crockery back at the boys. It has become increasingly popular for the ladies to get their revenge on Monday, tossing water back at the boys.

Note: Dyngus Day is also called Wet Easter Monday. Hmmmmm, I wonder why!?

About Rove’s book:

Well, there was lots of interesting detail, and lots of political theory which was very interesting, but what struck me most is how things that WE thought were so important and were such a big part of our lives (demonstrating in front of Gore’s house during the recount, Rather’s fraudulent story, the press black-out of Bush coverage before the 2000 election, Putin’s friendliness to Bush and trashing Madeline Albright at their first joint conference, etc. etc.) didn’t even make it onto his radar.

Either the White House really is in a huge bubble or Rove doesn’t look at things the same way we do. I have thought I might write him a letter and tell him my view of things that happened.

I slept only about four hours on it. I got too sleep too late and basically woke up at my normal time. BUT, in the Narita airport they have “day rooms” which you can rent. There is a bed and a small desk, mirror, and a very small bathroom w/ a shower. It was all I needed and I slept for another three or so hours, had a shower and now I’m sitting in the lounge waiting for my continental flight.

THIS LOUNGE IS NOT VERY GOOD. THE BREAKFAST BAR IS STILL SET UP AT 1330 AND IT DOESN’T HAVE MUCH FOOD IN IT. I wanted a sandwich or a salad or something. In Jakarta you can get a full meal, or two, at the lounge there. Here ... NOTHING.

I have been told that the plane I’m riding on to Houston has been fitted w/the seats which extend to 180 degrees FLAT! I really hope so. Continental is in the process of fitting all their international businessfirst seats with the flat seat. I’ll let you know. An eleven hour flight needs a flat seat.

Thank you for checking in. I was getting worried. Er, about you being alive, um, has there been any MORE close brushes with excitement?

(((((Lysie)))))

I hope you kept it. Later, in six months or so, decide whether you want to keep it. Your feeling might have changed by then.

Now, there is sushi at the food bar. Gosh, I wish they’d cook it. (I don’t like fish in any way, shape, form or disguise.)

When I checked in w/ Continental here in Narrita they said that being Business First makes a whole lot of difference and I should have plenty of time. OK.

FWIWI, the flights - in my section - have been fairly empty. Not at all crowded. I haven’t even glanced into the cattle car. I’m being a snob this trip.

Obama Can't Even Throw Like a Girl

And of course when the pressure was on, Bush threw a strike

You've got that nailed. He allowed the Dems way too much criticism. They should have fought back hard. Most people don't like Bush and they don't have a clue why.
