Even better! Strawberries are said to help in regulating blood pressure and thus, diminishing the risk of heart disease. You get the double whammy.
As well as:
*Strawberries have been associated with inhibiting the production of cholesterol in the liver.
*Strawberries have been known to help the body in getting rid of harmful toxins.
*The high antioxidant levels in strawberries can help the body neutralize the destructive effects of free radicals.
*The potassium in strawberries helps regulate the electrolytes in the body, in turn lowering the risk of stroke.

Cool,
now I have a better excuse for my nightly square of 88%.
I ate chocolate chip ice cream almost every night, till the Dr. started to make noise about my cholesterol. Finally figured out I was just eating the ice cream for the chocolate.
Now I just eat the chocolate !!

Thank you! I’m munching on an 85% Lindt dark chocolate right now, recommended by someone else upthread. Pretty dang good, actually!
To: Fiddlstix; Mama Shawna
Thanks for the ping! I beat you to it, earlier in the thread. ;)
Mama, I’m adding you to the Freeper Chocoholic Ping List, if you don’t mind.
(Low volume Ping List. I ping about once a month when I’m having a ‘High Hormone Day’ and NEED chocolate lest I smack someone, LOL!)

LOL! Go ahead! You’re also on the gardening ping list, aren’t you? Don’t you run a business related to gardening? (Get all the names confused sometimes...but always loved your tag line!)
To: Mama Shawna
Yes. To all of the above. :)

Check out redhead’s pick.
That’s *hard core* stuff.
[I can only take the 60% Ghiardielli, myself]

Salamander: Thanks for the heads up

redhead: You have excellent taste
Omyx: You need to see this thread.
Chocolate! The Perfect Food! Chocolate will make you live a life of good heath. Chocolate heals the soul. Salamander believes that chocolate imparts immortality. I can find no fault with that logic.

*Disclaimer:
Salamander also isn’t exactly playing with a full deck.

It may keep the heart doctor away, but you may end up dying of diabetes?
That being said, dark chocolate is by far my favorite.

Chocolate covered parsley would be an even more marvelous food.
[until after I ate them and it was too late, I thought “chocolate covered ants” was just a cute joke candy name]
