The MSM seems all too willing to give O a bounce and boost with the passage of Health Care "Reform".
We'll see...not all polls support this, but DC commentators can convince themselves of most anything.
They are easily convinced by the arrogant, cocky, and supremely self-regarding President.
Lovely weekend/week ahead in regards to temps.

Yes, that too!! Let the season begin....I have hope, at least for a few days...if only my team plays better than last season...a few more wins would be nice too.
I try not to get too worked up about it.
I look at it this way.
Hopefully he is what this country has needed to jump start kick the Pubbies in the patootie so they can move forward with getting people in office who are listening to us.
Not too happy that the NY Pub machine is paying attention by running Lazio for GOV but we shall see.

Yes. Not so much for the trip. On that I just have my carry-on and then little odds and ends to tuck in. Also, people will be handing me mail on the way to airport. It is our habit here to give someone returning to the states mail to hand-carry and then stamp and post once in the states. I leave room for that.
So, now I’ve started packing up the house. I won’t finish that. I’ll do what I can and hubby will finish the rest. One of my maids and her husband will house-sit while we’re both gone. She’ll feed the dogs and my next-door neighbor will make sure of that.
Hubby told me tonight of a conversation w/one of the teachers. One of them who is a real stickler for regulations and regimentation just found out that I’m leaving. We really had not announced it to the community although we haven’t kept it a secret either. But our upline authorities know. Anyway, this teacher just found out and found out that I’m going to be gone two months before Mike joins me. She sniffed and said, “well, I wonder what [the larger group] would think of that!”
Talk about snarky! Her point is that under the old organization there was a rule that except for very special circumstances husbands and wives could not be physically separate for more than 30 days. I see the wisdom of that, but I also know of many instances where that hasn’t been enforced. However, this teacher has never been in any authority to govern our actions. Furthermore, our upline authorities have been notified of our plans. We were TOLD by our sending agency to return and raise support and when we came up with the idea of me getting started now, the plan was accepted by the agency. We are under authority and following rules. So, the agency yanks us back, and approves the plan. We inform the authorities here and they have the responsibility of telling those above them.
So where does this woman think she has any right to try to impose an old governance upon us? Even if the old governance was still in effect, why does she think that we might not have been granted a dispensation? Wouldn’t it stand to reason that we have gone through channels and just not told her about it?
Sheesh!

Ya’ broke a hole in the dam and all is gushing out now. More about that same person.
A couple of years ago there was a new copy machine in the office. Copy machines are precious commodities here. They’re expensive to bring in and expensive to maintain. But they are very much used.
At any rate a sign was posted above that machine: THIS MACHINE IS TO BE USED BY TRAINED PERSONNEL ONLY. The purpose of that rule was to keep it from having the wrong buttons pushed and it going kaflooey (technical term for “something ain’t right”).
At the same time, I was prepping lessons for kids going interior. To that I would photocopy a lot of the books. That way, they wouldn’t be having to pay for all the weight of a regular textbook. It could be discarded once they’re through with it. I did this afterhours, of course, because during school hours the books were being used.
This also meant that the “trained personnel” would be off-work. So I asked the authority to train me in how to push a button on the photocopy machine. Then, I could photocopy at my hearts content and still be following rules.
One Friday morning early, I was in the office copying hymns for chapel. This same person came in and saw me. She asked if I could read. Then, she asked if I had seen the sign. I knew where she was heading with this. I answered both in the affirmative but gave her no more information. It was none of her business! Then, she asked if I had been trained. I answered yes to that as well. Then, she asked who trained me. I pointed to the head person.
I swear, with all the wind that went out of her sails, she dropped two dress sizes.
I waited until I was out the door and with my back to her before I let my grin show.
Sounds like that woman has too much free time on her hands and she needs to be assigned more work.
I missed it, but can well imagine. However I have a bit of biblical truth for Mr. Obama.

She does stay plenty busy, busier than me, but she has an opinion that I’m always breaking rules and she’s always trying to get me to follow those rules.
Me? I just let her spout off and go about my business. That frustrates her, too.
As I was typing those stories, I was thinking about Neets work associates. I wonder if she’d fit in well with those people.
Speaking of a fall, did you see that video of Caligula tripping off a curb? I’ll hunt up a link to it. Funny.
