I own “Saddles” but have never watched it.The only thing I know about is when somebody punches a horse.Brooks is a genius so I think I'll dust it off tonight and watch.

I’ve been saying that for years.
The TV version has had about 30 minutes cut out of it, which makes it alot less funny.
It’s one of the funniest movies ever made.
Thank you, Mr. Brooks!

Sounds pretty uptight, why don’t you let one rip, might make you feel better and you wouldn’t come off sounding like a stick in the mud.

Brooks still gets criticized for “The Producers”. Personally I think you can laugh at evil without trivializing it.

My favorite comedy movie of all time. However, there WAS one line that they had to cut out because it was too tasteless. Mel Brooks was interviewed by Playboy and this is in there (look it up). Anyway, where Cleavon Little is with Madeleine Kahn in her room and she says “It’s twue, it’s twue,” well, the line they had to cut out was “Excuse me, miss, but you’re sucking on my arm.”

And Disney has locked away their classic movie Song of the South because of political correctness. Before there was DVD there was a format called Laserdisc which, among other things, featured *much* better picture and sound quality than VHS or Beta.Song of the South was released on Laserdisc somewhere in Asia in its original format but in limited quantities. The market for that disc in the Laserdisc "community" was $300 or more...if you could find it.

Same goes for the movie “Airplane”. The basketball scene and the pedopheliac gay pilot schtick wouldn’t fly today. No pun intended....

The campfire fart scene is among the best.
Mine was Madeline Kahn doing “I’m Tired” in the saloon. She was one funny girl. Saw a month ago and was laughing so hard my wife came into the room to see why. She stayed and watched the rest of the movie.

They don’t make movies like blazing saddles anymore. I love all of Mel Brooks work.
