Your verse from Proverbs reminds me of a true story!
When I was in High School, I found out through the Hippie grapevine that the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was arriving at Logan International Airport at 4:00PM on a Thursday afternoon to do a lecture at Harvard University.
Now for those younger than 50, The Mahareshi was the OFFICIAL GURU of GEORGE HARRISON, the rest of the BEATLES, Mia Farrow, Ravi Shankar, and several other big rock stars.
BUT it was the fact that he was in direct contact with the BEATLES that made him special to me.
ANYWAY, I hooked school with a few of my hippie friends and dressed up in our best flower-child attire to meet and greet His August Presence at the airport.
Security was very lax in those days, and we were able to buy flowers and go right up to the gate.
As he came through the gate, I ran up to him, planted a big kiss on his lips and handed him my flowers!
I was in Hippie Heaven! That night, at the dinner table with my folks, the evening news carried the KISS for all to see! WAS I EVER BUSTED!!!!!!!!!

LOL! I LOVE your story!

Something similiar (in a way), happened to me, when I was in Junior High.

There was a carnival in our town, and my parents gave us kids fifty cents each, to spend anywhere we wanted. (Tickets were five cents for each ride or show.)

I ran out of tickets and begged my dad for a nickel to go watch the Magic Show. (First prize - a rabbit). He refused, saying, "with MY luck, you'd win the rabbit!"

I didn't even want a rabbit, but I DID want to see the magic show - so I promised my brother to give him a DIME when we got home, if he would give me his last ticket.

I snuck in, checking all around to make sure no one in my family was watching.

GUESS WHO WON THE RABBIT? - BUSTED!!!
