Happy Monday, Everyone.
We will leave for home after breakfast. It will be great to get home. It feels like we are in NYC. The traffic in the streets, the sidewalks and the casinos is unbelievable. I had wanted to take Marissa to see the Dancing Waters at the Bellagio but finding a parking spot within reasonable walking distance was a laugh.
We went to dinner last night at The Rio. We had their buffet ... the food was excellent and so many choices that it was difficult to choose. Marissa chose crab legs and shrimp. :)
Marissa also got an eyeful walking thru the casino to the restaurant. I’m sure everyone at school will hear about all of the “inappropriate” things she saw.
The Showdown in Searchlight was a big disappointment for me. It reminded me of trying to get to the inauguration in 2005 .... so close but so far!! At least Marissa didn’t cry this time. :)
While on the hiway, trying to get to the event turnoff, traffic was moving at about 1 mph. People were walking 2 and 3 miles to get there. Traffic coming from Vegas was backed up in both lanes for about 5 miles.
Jim made it to the rally but Sheila and Chris didn’t. They let him out of the car at the gate and he drove his power chair the 1/4 mile in to the event. I didn’t ask him if he arrived early enough to hear Palin.
It is going to be another long day, so I better get started. I’ve missed everyone.
Have a Marvelous Monday.
Weinie
Hi Amy, So glad you’re on the way back. Sorry things turned bad, but you can be grateful you made it through all that traffic without a fender bender of some kind.
Tell Marissa she chose the right foods....that would have been my pick too. Love crab legs and shrimp!! We had a big crab leg party at my house a couple of years ago and ate all we wanted for once...LOL!
Have a safe trip back and always remember “There’s no place like home”!!!
I love the froggie graphic and the words to that sweet little song “Its not easy being green”....Its been so rainy here lately, I expect to see frogs outside on the patio....LOL!
A really wonderful message, Rus. We ask God for many things but sometimes we need to thank Him for all He does for us in our daily lives when we’re not asking for anything.
Thanks and I hope your Monday is a special day!!
Hi there, GeeBee! Love the tulips and hope all is well with you on this Monday morning! Think of you often. :o)
Amy, it’s a shame you missed the rally! At least you are all being well fed! We should all plan a trip to Vegas when everything is quiet - and see all the sights at our leisure.
One thing, though - every car on the highway was there for the same reason - to show respectful protest to what is happening to our country.......and there were thousands that couldn’t even get close to the grounds.
The people want to be heard, and Washington should be listening.
We’ll be seeing you back at ‘home’ soon. Have a safe trip!
Have I 'toad' you lately that I love you...?
(It's a slow walk on this wall, though)
This song was played at Yorkie’s daughter’s wedding in Colorado!

The words are so meaningful, aren't they?
I haven't seen a Hummingbird here yet, and am Looking Forward to them Very Much! : )
Every Spring, they Love to Look at their Reflections in the Windows, Lol, Near the Feeder,
And I Love to Watch them!
It's funny how they literally fly in your face like..."I'm back! Where's the food?"
Moses was the humblest man who ever lived.

How else could Moses see and be a part of the Exodus and all its amazing miracles? He did not get prideful or arrogant.
Lol, the Hummers that Show Up Here Every Year are like that, too; So Cute!
I just love this!!! I should tell Kermit that green is my favorite color! Thank you!
