Those of us who live in the SW have been fighting the illegal immigrant problem for years - and it seems that the only one willing to enforce the law is Joe Arpiao, Sheriff of Maricopa County (Phoenix). He gets slapped with law-suits constantly.
The ‘undocumented workers’ have stolen identities, robbed, raped, molested, murdered, driven drunk and killed entire families.
They have brought disease with them that is incurable. They have brought gangs and drugs with them. They have caused the closure of hundreds of ER’s accross the country.
They pay no taxes, yet get government assistance at every turn.
They have invaded our schools with non-English speaking children.
I think the problem is MUCH more devistating than reported, and the numbers are MILLIONS more than acknowledged.
If “O” and McLettuce push amnesty through, we can say buh-bye to “Freedom” as we once knew it - forever.
Rant over (for now).

I was on FR for almost a 3/4 of a YEAR before I found Amy’s Place.
Or maybe Amy’s Place FOUND ME!!!!!
LOL!
To: Billie
Thank you so much for your opening today, Billie.
Elvis sings that song with such depth of emotion.

Maybe you shouldn’t tackle BOTH kitchen and laundry at once - a little at a time? Laundry? Just stay in your jammies. :)

Mornin’ Billie.
Great Elvis song!
mrsdd and I attended one of his last concerts. What a great performer he was.
To: yorkie
Thanks, yorkie. I think so, too. But I debated on whether to use Elvis'
Solitaire today - or Clay Aiken's, which is also really wonderful. Have you heard him sing it? I loved every song he performed on Idol, and the full-length version of Solitaire is fabulous.
I wanted to tell you the "locket" poem and illustration you posted the other day was so poignant and grabbed my heartstrings.
To: Billie
Aw, thanks Billie (re: 'locket' poem). It touched me, too!
I have never heard Clay Aikens sing Solitaire. I am sure it is wonderful - but you made a good choice, IMHO - with Elvis. I love his voice!

Good morning, Dave. I would have a hard time naming a favorite song by Elvis, but this one’s way up there. I wondered about his performances towards the end, because he had become so sad. :(

Lovely serene graphic and Elvis is terrific on this song. I’ve always loved it. I think he was a lonely man too, even though he always had crowds around him. Thanks Billie. I won’t be around too much as Nikki is checking into the hospital later this evening. I’m excited although a little nervous, just hoping all goes well. Tomorrow we may have our little girl and I gently ask the Lord to be with the new little mother and baby Braelyn.
I’ve had company and am a little worn out and trying to get straightened up from all the doings. We certainly enjoyed them being with us. And they loved the races....first time they’ve ever been to a race. They came all the way from Mississippi! And guess what, they brought us some fresh shrimp right off the coast. Mine is in the freezer for the weekend. Yum~~~(and I remember you don’t care for seafood).
So, it wouldn’t tempt you. Have a nice day!
To: jaycee
JC, prayers will follow Nikki today and tomorrow, for sure! May God guide the doctor’s hands and all who administer to Nikki and baby Braelyn. (And keep grammy calm, too, Dear Lord.) Amen.

Solitude is painful when one is young,
but delightful when one is more mature.

Thanks yorkie, I appreciate that! Would like to spend more time on Amy’s but you know how time flies (when you’re having fun.)
I did read about Lindy and I am so sorry for the worry you are going through. Been there, done that many times and it doesn’t get easier!! And I know you realize that too! Bless you.

Good day, Billie.
Lovely Opening this morning. Thank you.
I always enjoy Elvis.
Never saw him in person ... sigh.
He also does a great job with Are You Lonesome Tonight?
Hope you and everyone are having a good Tuesday.
I'm looking forward to attending The Showdown in Searchlight.
See my new tagline.

Here is a better You Tube link.
Are You Lonesome Tonight?
I should never go to You Tube ... I get sidetracked. Been listening to Englebert. LOL Watched another Elvis ... He acted like he was high on something.

I used to wonder why anybody would vote for RINOs. Why vote for a pretend Dem when you can vote for a real one? The same goes for having a socialist nation. You can't be socialist on even some things and still sing the "Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave". Socialist are NOT free or brave! You can't say a pledge that includes "liberty and justice for all" when, there is no liberty with socialism. And... were is the justice in a hybrid socialist country that taxes some citizens to buy the votes of other citizens? Naw. We can't be Americans In Name Only! Jesus said that he preferred that folks were either hot or cold so, if we're going to be socialist let's be good socialist.
So, with that thought in mind, here is a candidate for our new National Anthem
