I all ready to watch one of the premier events in the Olympics Ladies Figure Skating. They show a skater represnting Turkey. I thought, cool they are going to show everybody but no the smug Costas says we will be showing some taped crap and don't worry you won't miss the "major" ladies competitors. I want to see all the performances live! When ABC had the Olympics they would show all the skating. FU NBC!

I’ve been saying all through this Olympics that this is the worst job of televising the Olympics ever. The announcers are more interested in talking about themselves then in about what is going on. And who can tell if you are watching live or previously recorded events? And they cut to commercials before the scores are announced and then never come back and tell you what they were. nbc sucks just like msnbc.
This is the tent pole event of the Olympics yet we get the same crap coverage from NBC. If you are only going to show the top 8 or so at least put the other performers on CNBC or the network that shall not be named. But that is too much to ask.
i went to lunch and wanted dessert and ordered apple pie with vanilla icecream but they said no we don’t have vanilla icecream and i said oh no and they laughed and said they were just kidding so it was alright

The guy really is like fingernails on a chalk board to me. He thinks he's Frank Deford (who was an idiot in his own right) but the diminutive Costas can't even reach that low level.
Damn it, it's sports! It's supposed to be fun, but these media prima donnas try to turn every damn event into some sort of morality play.
I say just shut the hell up with all the faux intellectual crap and let us watch the kids play the game.
He is defiantly the worst sportscaster I have ever seen.

Skating and all other endeavors that are not objective, but based on someone’s opinion of performance are not sports and do not belong in the Olympics.

You all are so right. Bob Costas just cannot shut up - he is incapable. I have never liked him and he creeps me out with that unsmiling bug-eyed face. He reminds me of the movie “the Fly”(original) when the guy is yelling “Help me!”. Put wings on that head and there you are.
Just pop one of your Richard Simmons’ “Sweating to the Oldies” tapes into the VCR and I don’t think you’ll notice the difference.
maddening isn’t it....next time, I’ll either get a world satelite dish if they make such a thing or at least get the CBC since they show all event live..

The only thing really cool about Mary Curillo is that she makes Bob Costas look like such a wimpy little wuss, even when she slumps down low in the chair.
