The guy really is like fingernails on a chalk board to me. He thinks he's Frank Deford (who was an idiot in his own right) but the diminutive Costas can't even reach that low level.
Damn it, it's sports! It's supposed to be fun, but these media prima donnas try to turn every damn event into some sort of morality play.
I say just shut the hell up with all the faux intellectual crap and let us watch the kids play the game.

You all are so right. Bob Costas just cannot shut up - he is incapable. I have never liked him and he creeps me out with that unsmiling bug-eyed face. He reminds me of the movie “the Fly”(original) when the guy is yelling “Help me!”. Put wings on that head and there you are.
You said a mouthful. These hard-working Olympians are competing in some of the most important events of their lives, yet the passionless Costas reports are dry as popcorn farts. His annoying and self-absorbed head-tipping is starting to get to me. How about ditching the suits, wearing Olympic sweaters, and acting like you appreciate the efforts of these athletes, Bob, hmmmm?
