Howard Dean: Republicans 'Don't Believe in Science'
Fox Nation ^ | 2-11-10

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: With some climate-change skeptics using the record snowfall totals to argue that global warming doesn’t exist -- the family of Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., built an igloo near the Capitol and labeled it “Al Gore’s New Home” -- former DNC Chairman Howard Dean today blasted back.

In an interview with ABC News, Dean said this attitude reflects a GOP rejection of science.

“One of the most disturbing things about the Republican Party over the last couple of decades is that just they don’t believe in science any more. And that is not an approach that is likely to generate any kind of creative thinking,” Dean said

Republicans 'Don't Believe in Science'

Can't speak for republicans, but conservatives choose facts over what passes for science now.

No, the two don't necessarily correlate anymore.

.
There's a big difference between "believing" in science (which Republicans certainly do) and believing the leftists who call the scientists (which no one should do.)

I tell you what Howard. I'm probably a little older than you, and although not a raving Republican last I registered by Party did indeed register as such, so let's have a "scientific" discussion:

What is the molecular weight of atmospheric Nitrogen?

What is the molecular weight of atmospheric Oxygen?

What is the molecular weight of atmospheric Carbon Dioxide?

What then is the average molecular weight of Earth's atmosphere?

Considering those, and using the Boltzmann equation to relate molecular weights to average molecular velocities in a gas as a function of temperature, and considering the escape velocities of a species in a gravitational field, which of those species of gasses do you think will preferentially remain, that is constitute an increasing percentage composition, if the atmosphere heats up for any external reason whatsoever?

What do you think Howard?

Is there anybody, anyone whomsoever, in that DC Media cocoon you inhabit able to help you if such is needed?

Answers are expected.

What Howard Dean means is that we don’t believe in the liberal acedemic governmental propaganda complex. We actually believe that science must pass the test of not just leftist socialist kook environmentalist homosexual researchers. Liberalism does not have the market cornered on science even though it may have a near lock on the acedemic world.

I could prove the earth is flat if I'm allowed to:

1. eliminate contradictory data,
2. modify the data so it fits my flat earth model,
3. throw out decades of raw data without allowing anyone to look at it,
4. hand pick to peers allowed to peer review the publications,
5. cut off funding from those who doubt my flat earth theory,
6. publicly insult them with names comparing them to holocaust deniers,
7. get people who could make millions or even billions by backing and enforcing my flat earth theory and
8. even get government officials to publicly consider arresting "rounders".

When you are dealing with incompetent "scientists" who can't read a thermometer and lose half of the polar ice cap when looking at satellite photos, well...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHH!!!

Of course we do, not believing in science is like not believing in gravity or the sun. Pointless, stupid, and unproductive.

What we don’t believe in is science with an agenda, science which distorts information to fit preconceived outcomes, and science that violates the sacrosanct nature of human life.

>> Howard Dean: Republicans ‘Don’t Believe in Science’

There’s no reason to believe in legitimate science.

“One of the most disturbing things about the Republican Party over the last couple of decades is that just they don’t believe in science any more.

Let me fix that...

“One of the most disturbing things about the Republican Party over the last couple of decades is that they will only believe in real science anymore."

That is what really bothers this nimrod!

Sorry Howie, the fact is that Conservatives do believe in science and believe that ALL legitimate scientific research is governed by the principles of Scientific Method.

Interesting. One of the leaders of the Democratic party where Darwinism is near universally accepted is calling the opposition science deniers. Then on the floors of congress they forcibly reach into my pocket to fund the denial of Darwinism’s natural selection

i’d say it’s a rejection of the current science ‘community’ shaped by progressives that forces/weeds out non-progressives in the university system.

we are quickly coming to a point where non-progressives are going to tell all progressives to shove anything and everything they say
