a saying that i heard while living in colorado went like this, "if you see a mountain lion, once in your life, and live to tell the story, you are one LUCKY s.o.b. (they immediately go for the throat).

p.s. i have a bobcat skull a friend found in the forest, and i sure as h#ll wouldn't want those teeth anywhere near my throat.

Well, if it had been a full blooded pit bull, he may have not needed the sword. I had a pit bull once that I got the vet to classify as a “Dojo de Argentino”. Trained in Argentina to grab a jaguar by the snout.

parsy, who misses Boo

Mountain Lions are dangerous critters - VERY.

But the Bambi crowd in the east, like the Bambi crowd in California and Colorado, will oppose hunting them even if they start running off with their children.

Check out The Beast in the Garden it's a great read, about a true mountain lion attack in Colorado a few years back.

Such a poorly written story. Did he kill the lion? It doesn’t say. How far away from the scene of the attack was his garage, where he went to get the sword?

I would have thought "Ninja Swords" are illegal in the Land of Fruits ahd Nuts.

I wonder how long before the guy gets charged for an illegal weapon and harrassing the Mountain Lion.

Colonel Sanders got his start in much the same way. It was a vicious attack but he prevailed.

Search for “Mom fights off Cougar”. A Canadian woman fought a cougar with her bare hands after it attacked her 3 year old daughter.
